Delve league feedback and the state of the game

Most of OPs points i have to agree with honestly.. But at the same time i guess i just had A LOT more Fun in Incursion. I liked how Incursion worked it was simple.. Run 11 maps and whatever average tier you run you get a temple of the highest tier some mostly 83 Temples if your chasing red elder. It just worked well. You had clear goals. Incursion was just a lot more fun. the blend between mapping 11 maps then run a Temple flowed nice at least for me anyway. It was a nice little break between Elder/Shaper Spreading and Guradians and Shaper runs in between worked in always giving tons of different things to be doing all while still working on your Temple. It worked really nice.

Delve idk what it is i cant quite put my finger on it but i do know one thing that sulphite changes only made it worse.. Not having shared Sulphite was a HUGE killer for someone like myself who has always and still does build with Reflect Mods on my maps in mind.. meaning i run 2 builds minimum once im in high tier maps fully.. The only thing more punishing than this was the bug running two characters when spreading Elder Influence would bug Elder/Shaper Spreading out..

Ive never felt more dread when thinking about having to farm something for League Content than in Delve.. Thats not good.. Thats not normal. Abyss? Super fun one of all time favorites.. Breach much the same all leagues have been fun with the exception of two.. Warband's and Delve..

I was also expecting you reach a point where you have to work towards progressing through your build NOT just farm as fast as you can farm the material to Delve.. And Depth pretty much almost doesn't even matter its still lvl 83 content with extreme scaling on the Map Mods you get as you go down. But either way going 1K+ isn't about how good your build actually is its all about how fast you can farm Sulphite to pay the extreme costs that scale as you go.. that's all that scales is the mods and costs.. the loot never really changes much at 400+.. Nor did i see anything much different from people running 1-2K+... All those levels of emptiness.. Just grind. At least GRs in D3 you had clear goals at that point in the builds progress. Delve the ONLY goal is MOAAARRRR SULPHITE!!!! It just gets old way too fast because of the Sulphite Grinds i guess.. That and going deeper and deeper felt pointless. I wasn't expecting 1K+ levels of delves that's way too much all the numbers seem too much actually.. Capacity? i dont need to hold 60K.. But at the same time i shouldnt be paying thousands to move one node in the mid 300s... Hell imo i shouldnt even be in the 300s yet.. or i shouldnt be in lvl 83 content in delves at depth 300. We also dont need 3K or 6K or 12K Depths either.. depths across the board should just be re-balanced which more manageable numbers.

And Changing Sulphite Drop scaling from exponential to linear was not helpful either.. at all. The game already struggles with getting people to engage the highest tier content as it is because MF farming and Speed farming exp at lower tiers being not only safer but faster and even more efficient exp wise if your fast enough.. not to mention more lucrative.. to turn around and finally give everyone a reason to push their builds and run the highest content they can for the best sulphite and they change it so tier pretty much doesn't even matter anymore? WTF? WHY? The best shit SHOULD be in the highest tier content i mean i dont get it i must be missing something here.. The only thing they needed to add was Quantity adding to the totals. Leave the scaling where the best sulphite comes from T15-16 content period. If i invest into my mapping, atlas, and zana mods for T15-16 sustain then i absolutely should be getting the best sulphite returns.. period.

Whatever just my thoughts on the league its only the second league ive ever quit early.. and even Warbands i at least made through the first month or so.. i didnt make much beyond 3 weeks this league once the last major Sulphite Changes come in i was already burned out on the whole thing by then.. Cant win'em all i can absolutely see why most people love Delve.. The Fossils and Crafting potential alone brings something to the table that not only gives SSF more tools to work with but Everyone the chance to work on crafting something for themselves so thats another thing Delve brought that was a good thing.. as broken as "Some" of the possibility's ive seen come out of some of those things. They just need to figure something out with Sulphite for sure.. Sulphite makes Delveing feel like total shit at 300+.. and only seems to get worse from there. Honestly to tell you the truth it felt like shit from moment one of the league.. But thats partially my fault for not even bothering with Delve what so ever till i hit maps. so..

Fossil crafting is considerably more controllable and a buff to ES. Most of the other fossil powercreep options weren't necessary.

The only thing I can agree to are on-death oneshot mechanics. If they are clearly telegraphed like modern Bearer visuals, I don't mind. I personally haven't had big troubles with them in Delve, but I also didn't have the time to go deep.
