Buying Maps

Faster map Progression if u dont have much time.

You don't have to really buy anything until T5+ and if you want to just get some map links early you can usually buy it off the same person. For example you whisper to buy one map, then make a text line copy of all the maps+tier level and ask if they have those.

Once you are deep into the yellows and have at least 50% upgrade stat it's all sailing in terms of making currency. Zana also has mid yellow maps for cheap. I bought one today for 1alc--would be 4alc currently--and got an ex from it. Make sure to check her inventory.

All these people going on about trade, yeah you get afkers but I can equally show you where I have whispered someone and within 10-15seconds all our trading and "tys" are done.

Sustaining red maps is another issue though lol.

Sells maps...and in order to refresh her you have to find her on her Mission map (no, not just anytime you run into her...). And they L O V E moving to maps you haven't unlocked yet.

No idea if GGG read this but this is exactly my experience of the game... I'm a newish player played the Bestiary league before, got to maps, couldn't sustain/build a pool so asked for advice and people said my completion % was a bit low and to buy some maps.

Spent a couple of weeks painfully trying to buy maps and ended up quitting the game.

Coming back to the game this league to see if that's changed and now I'm into maps I'm feeling that same frustration with maps..

Please for the love of god make it easier for us to get the maps we need.

one of main reasons i quit POE 3 years ago, i spent more time skipped out of POE checking stupid AH websites and other trade stuff, stuff that could be easily added to the game, and as i come back for this league i see nothing has changed in that regard, anndd im off again...

You all know that poe trade is totally borked up to the max right now right? Its showing items that are still up for sale that were previously sold many hours ago. Creating the cluster fuck we have now.

Buying anything right now is a huge pain... not just maps.

Play what you have till it gets fixed.

That may exacerbate things but it's not the fundamental issue, poe.trade exists because the in-game system for trading is sadly lacking and subpar for how players want to play the game. Now for gear I don't mind the player based trading system because it feels great finding a trade you can make with the stats you want rather than just buying straight out of an auction house so I get GGGs reluctance on that front.

Maps though are a different story for me, it's the main part of end-game and it's not great game design to lock players into running low tier maps, with no challenge and diminishing XP hoping on RNG to get higher map drops or what most of us end up doing and using external websites to trade for maps and deal with the frustrations of having to spam a bunch of people in the hopes of finding someone that answers.

It's not poe.trades fault, this was the same even months ago... the fact is people list maps and a majority can't be bothered to reply for 1-2 alchs profit if they're in a map, lab, etc.. Not sure if we're allowed to post links to reddit here but there's a thread with around 700upvotes talking of exactly the same frustrations with maps.

This is the easiest league for self finding maps yet. The only shitter in ssf is "daily" missions sometimes being inaccessible.
