[3.5] Occultist Vortex/Cold Snap ES/CI - Deathless and Safe Uber Elder and T16's

Heading towards Uber Elder for the first time ever with this toon.

Did Red Elder and Shaper like nothing.

Recently started for Uber Elder, first 2 Guardians down. The 2 remaining will follow this evening.

As I never did Uber Elder, I am unsure if my gear is sufficent - have some currency to spare.

Anyone able to do a quick check?

With this sort of gear you might find the fight pretty boring.
Its easily enough.

With the spare currency I'd probably see if I can get my 6l Vortex gems to 21/20 and add some quality to the cold snap links.
Aside from that..hmm I'd probably drop vaal lightning trap for vaal discipline because I like an oh shit button more than shocking but thats personal preference.
Dont forget to switch the minor god to yau..sth.. the less cold dmg taken guy.

I stay at 9.500 ES and yesterday i was killed serveral times on a not bad rolled T13 map.

Can someone check my gear and give me advice how to improve my it.


Another Question: What and in which seqenze are using Flask, moving skills (Phase Run, Flame Dash).

Iam sure that not the gear is the problem, must be me :)

Biggest mistake is your Jewel with adds cold damage to spells, that is gimping you damage by not allowing EE to procc the way you want it

I rarely write on forums by here I'd like to say this build is awesome. I managed to smoothly do all core content bosses with almost < 1 ex gear(guardians, shaper, uber elder, uber atziri etc). I had a 3ex 6L Vaal Regalia but for some less ES you can get 6L much cheaper.

I have never enjoyed this game like that before (and i play since open beta). The active playstyle is so pleasent. In the era of grab a coffe while your character is self casting T16s it is good to feel the game the active way.

I did some changes in the tree and I'd also like to share my gear:

Now I am 94lvl with 15-20ex gear. Here are the juicy tops:

- 12.5k ES with discipline
- 1.5 ES/sec regen with sulphur flask
- ~200k DoT tooltip dps with vortex on frenzy charges
- aspect of spider/frostbite help alot

I changed gear to use temp chains + enfeeble but seem to be short in mana to do so. Would u have a look at my gear pls and gimme some advice?

Where do you have "additional curse"? Cant see it in your tree nor ascendancy.

Could someone help me out? How should I proceed to craft on this for maximum damage?

I'm sitting at 160K vortex dot in my hideout. Should i go for better dps ? I've 13.6k ES and for the moment, can't move the helmet because of the res :)
Is it ok to go for uber elder ?

What should I upgrade next? I have never been so far into the endgame before and I'm not quite sure how to spend my currency. By the looks of it, I'm on a spot where even the smallest of the upgrades can cost several ex to get.
