Basic SSF question

Greetings exiles,

In SSF, since you cannot trade for the basic currency which you may need, do you guys keep picking up Chromatic/Chisel recipe stuff essentially forever?

I pick up portion of small chromatic recipe items (2x2 or 3x1). No chisel recipe, its way easier to run some strongholds on atlas for them. Even Zana offers for 12c seems reasonable for SSF.

To be honest, you prolly dont need to pick up chrome items, because of workbench socket coloring trick. Its easier to amass jewellers and chrome that way.

"longer" or "at all" are probably better descriptions.

Personally I picked up chrome items this league until I had a few hundred after gearing my mains just in case I ended up finding an item or two with a difficult off-color—just wanted enough to not have to bother with them again realistically. I’d suggest stepping down the recipe to smaller items, then chrome orbs only, then just turn them off when you think you have enough. Did the same for augs and other currency/rare items as well. You can always put things back on your filter later if needed, but you want to remove as much as you can regularly to speed up your progression in my opinion.

Only show what’s necessary for your current/potential future characters and get rid of the rest ASAP, especially in SSF.
Forever is a very long time.

I do neversink very strict which doesnt even show 3s RBG with no issues. But who knows... some ppl have 120000 chrom projects. depends I guess

really everything but chests is done with bones anyway. 4 offs never chrome

Ive never done a chisel or chaos recipe in my life trade or untrade

too much busy work IMO

When playing SSF you usually pick a build that isn't as chrome intensive (5+ offcolors etc) so you generally would avoid the issue alltogether and rather swap into those kind of builds if you happen to stumble upon such an item while playing.

I never said "oh thats hard to find so I better not try it"

everything comes eventually I found everything twice or more. shavs, impulsas etc

chroms pfft - they are basically guarnateed every map so its just a matter of time before you have whatever u need

Generally speaking I never do chromatic recipe, I pick them when they drop and that's more than enough for everything I need.
The majority of the hard coloring is done with jewellers orbs in the crafting bench anyways.

As for chisels, the only time I would consider doing the recipe is when I push to 100. I dont want to run a t16 that isn't fully chiseled. Other than that, the chisels I get from drops/cards/stronghold is usually enough.
I had to check my stash to see that I have about 800 Chromatic Orbs. I should probably stop picking up those items... I definitely spend a lot of time managing inventory around them.
For the extremechroming there is now a new alternative:

Push Vorici into the Lab - and chroming problems are gone.

Here my melee Tabula with 2000 armor and other stuff:

No more problems experimenting with gems, or just plug in item find.

You can do it more often for whites sockets only.
