In addition, other usefull upgrades:
-Swap Clarity with Precision until you have the Watcher's Eye (Ultra luxury).
-Consider buying maxed or nearly maxed gems. You can keep Ball on lvl 1. Check on guide and wiki which gems benefits from quality.
-Get Kiloava timeless jewel for 2x block + spell block chances. Until then, don't spec Minion Instability.
-Get Corrupted blood on one of your jewels excluding Conq Eff.
-Lvl 21 Spectre gem
-Lvl 4 Empower

Dumb question probably, but it's hard to find recent information. Is it still possible to change the color of corrupted items at the crafting bench? One used to be able to do this with a Vorici craft.

My character (Hogshead, here's my PoE.ninja profile) is nearing completion, but I'm still after a +2 body armour, and getting the colors we want is tough. I assume it can't be done anymore since people would be buying the badly-colored ones, crafting them, then reselling them, but thought I'd ask.

Yes, it's still possible (chromatic + vaal orbs).
But not for Skin of the Loyal.
