Compensation needed until desync is less

I'm in Cruel with my level 49 Shadow and can't kill Oak. I expect it to be hard, that's not my problem. The problem is that I have to use my exploding arrow totem, throw my fire traps, shoot Oak with poision arrows, puncture arrows, etc, and then run and hide behind one of the tents so I can heel up. That works reasonably well, but sometime in the battle (6 times now) I'm hiding and all of a sudden he materializes right on top of me and whacks or cleaves me to death. There is no animation of him leaping on me and thus no chance to take evasive action. The desync ends up being my death. And I'm only in Cruel level, I hate to think how bad Merciless will be with out of sync one shot deaths. I hated being one shotted in D3 but at least it wasn't because I couldn't tell that on the server side the boss was whacking me to death without me knowing it. Cruel Oak is a level 45 map and I'm level 49 so I would be able to defeat him if it wasn't for the blasted desync. I consider my net connection to be very low latency. I really feel sorry for anyone way out in the boonies with an even worse connection.

I know it's just a fact of OB PoE life. Makes me wonder how any casual PoE player can finish Merciless in HC. I know the no-lifers have done it but I just can't look upon desync as just part of the PoE challenge factor. Oh well, another arpg that is turning into farmville at the higher levels. Does seem like something needs to be adjusted to compensate for desync deaths that are out of the players control. The server does seem to be over anticipating my position and Oak is instantly and always with never a single miss jumping perfectly on me. He should have a small % chance to miss me on his leap as I always have a chance to miss with my arrow shots. Oh well, back to the proverbial drawing board to increase my health and defences.

I can see the replies now: "welcome to the wonderful world of PoE" or "playing PoE is optional, if you don't like it then don't play it". But I do enjoy PoE much better than D3 so going to any extreme is of no help.

Hmmm... maybe the granite flask to boost armor... then again I have to know that Oak is on me to use it.

If you read the latest patch notes, you see that there is a soon-to-be-published Developer Journal that will discuss desync.

Actually GGG raised that in the last patch to 10% of your monthly sub for each of the first 100 desync deaths, so if you die to desync 100 times within a month you will get 10x your subscription fee transfered to your bank account.
Maybe a sale on premium stash tabs so I can have more room to save the unidentified rares for faster farming. This would make farming lesss a chore and also throw more money to GGG to keep woking on PoE desync and more content to the better of all.

Oh it's bad. I have given up on getting a level up while progressing. Especially in A3 with all the lol-chaos-dmg-projectiles or the teleporting dudes in the sewers who can appear out of nowhere with desync and kill you.

When you say Compensation Needed in your title, what form of compensation exactly are you looking for?
You want compensation for something that is FREE and NOT MANDATORY TO PLAY?

Things with "increased" and "decreased" in the tooltip are additive ... where as "More" or "Less" are multiplicative ...
