IP ban but account not banned? Umm...

Hi GGG - Just tried to logon, and got a popup saying "Your IP has been banned. Contact support if you think this is a mistake."

Thats pretty crazy. Was playing just yesterday, no problems.

It also seems like my account is working fine - I dont know if you can still post in forums if account is banned. But - I can post in forums obviously...

I live in a huge condominium complex with 800 different residences so banning my IP would be pretty silly. (We all get LAN broadband internet here as part of the residence fee).

I also do know a few people living here that play PoE, in fact I got some neighbors kids into the game a few months ago and play with them sometimes. They arent the only ones here playing PoE either though - a South-African guy here also plays and he knows another who plays.
So I'm sure you might even have them posting in here soon...

Please check into this ASAP.
Hope this was just a mistake.
(If it was those kids doing something bad, thats going to make me laugh though...in fact im already laughing hahaha -- and they still have some of my gear too LOL) :)

you should email them with all the details, it'll be quicker.

The IP ban go out in waves and are usually targeted for areas which show high levels of hacking and botting and are usually for a general area and not specific ones.

Not sure if they keep a list but it has happened a few times since the open beta launch and the posters are different so i would assume the do keep a list of IP's to exclude from bans in areas which are normally targeted

OK yea - I just connected with VPN and it works fine.

So obviously somebody doing something fishy here at my Condo complex.

My account is fine but my IP is still blocked.

Let me know if there's anything I can do to help. I can go talk to those kid's father. hahaha man this is hilarious....

usually a ban of this type is the whole area not just on your complex...they should get it sorted fairly quickly though
