Resolute Technique
One more question on this:
Does this actually mean that ALL your attacks effectively hit the target? I mean, the target can't evade, sure, but is there a chance to "miss" on my own? Also, does this apply to skills? As in, are ALL my skills "sure hitters", Sweep or Ground Slam that are AOE? |

I am a newb and built a Staff Temp just for fun. After getting to lvl 38 I am seriously loving this build. Probably not perfect to the min/maxers... but I'm out to have fun.
RT was a question I had, since I use Molten Shell and Sweep a lot with Double Strike as my main attack and Glacial Hammer as the finisher. I guess, what I want to know is, as the poster above. Any feedback on RT effecting the skills? |

Of course it affects attack skills - and all those skills you listed are attacks :)
EDIT: about secure hitters: they won't be evaded but could still be blocked, though i don't now if mobs have a block chance... Thanks Sony_Black! That was what I thought, but I just wanted some confirmation from players with more experience than I.
So RT and some life steal on hit will be a nice combo. Последняя редакция: Segfaultz#2981. Время: 21 февр. 2013 г., 19:28:09

" I wouldn't say the main advantage is skipping dex, but skipping accuracy all together. If you have 80% hit chance, that means you can add a 0.8 * damage multiplier in the end. Then again you can crit, but since basic crit is 150%, you'd need 20% crit chance and at least +50% critical multiplier to reach the same damage output. That usually means picking tons of critical nodes, which you again skip with RT. ...then again crits cause status alignments, but so do certain quality gems + curse inflicted enemies + there are passives for status alignments on hit. I swapped out DS with LS for main attack... haven't gotten to RT yet. But it is on my list. But, now I'm a bit worried RT won't effect LS like it would DS since it's an elemental dmg instead of a physical dmg skill.

" if you would want LS to work together with RS and you still want the ailment there are some nodes in the tree close to Hexmaster that will give you 30% chance to get the shock ailment on anything you hit but the problem for this is there are quite some inteligence nodes along the way that you will need to take besides that you can get gems for that as well if you really need the ailment. |
