Elemental Equilibrium
Here's my fix for EE. What does everyone think?
![]() Elemental Equilibrium (start) - Enemies you hit with elemental damage temporarily get +25% resistance to that element and -25% to other elements. This is exactly the same as it is now. Nodes 2-5: +5%, +5%, +10%, +10% increased elemental damage Reasoning: If you're doing an EE build, it's much too hard to significantly increase your elemental damage for multiple elements. If you're doing an EE build, you're already reducing your damage output, because you're not concentrating on one specific attack or skill. 5L/6L items significantly reward specializing in one element already. +30% increased elemental damage for four points is a nice, justified bonus for going EE Elemental Mastery (end) - +35% increased freeze and chill duration vs burning and shocked enemies, +35% increased burn damage vs frozen and shocked enemies, +35% increased shock duration vs burning and frozen enemies This is the capstone keystone for EE. It rewards you for juggling all three status elements, capitalizing on reduced resistances to freeze, burn and shock. ALTERNATIVE IDEA Elemental Mastery (end) - Enemies you hit with elemental damage temporarily get -5% chance to be inflicted with the status of that element and +5% to other status effects. So is this a lousy idea, or not? My Keystone Ideas: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/744282 Последняя редакция: anubite#0701. Время: 3 янв. 2013 г., 11:32:45

Interesting. I imagine that GGG will want to see how the current EE buff coming in 0.10.0 will do before considering more drastic.

" Stop being a Tease damn it. Anyways it sounds pretty interesting...now to think of possible ways to abuse the hell out of it should it ever happen. Edit: Now that I think about it, if you made a bow user that used just a straight Phys bow and utilized the 3 elemental shots in a rotation that could be pretty nasty(Might be a fun build as is...hummm). Very interesting indeed. And possibly on the wrong board. :)
There we go, fixed. I like the idea of incorporating the three status effects in EE builds. Very much. And they said *I* was bad at PoE. At least I made it out of act 1 and know how to use the /dnd function. El oh fucking el.

Huh. I like this idea. Something to push the whole elemental circus act even further!
Nice idea. "Unless I'm Wrong"

I personally don't like it because it's pretty hard to have multiple status effects on monsters. Either they are likely to die very quickly or they are bosses and are likely to not be affected by it in the case of freezing and shocking (due to too high hp).

Elemental Mastery might be more interesting if it had increased chance to inflict status effects in addition/instead of it's current iteration of increasing their duration or burning damage. As it stands now, non-crit builds would not gain much benefit from it.

I think Alhoon has a valid point about increasing the chances rather than just increasing the output. This is an interesting idea that would make me consider EE more; I'm playing a dual-element caster that is working just fine, but I decided not to take EE because I'm lazy and don't want to have to remember to constantly shuffle skills

A fair suggestion, I suppose I agree. I'll change it.
