After watching the video detailing the new unique Wings axe, my guess is that since the weapon acts as one weapon, you can still equip a shield and receive blocking bonuses etc from the shield, the only difference is that it is displayed on your back instead of in your offhand.
That's my guess, and I'm hoping I'm right because that opens up a whole other world of builds.
Doubt it since that axe is also a 2-handed weapon.

You're probably trolling, but just in case you're not: they increased the likelihood of getting +1 and +2 map drops last patch, so you're just getting RNG'd.
and ur probably dont even play high maps and don't know anything =)
ps the map drop but is lower level play more b4 u talk to me about map drops right now its shit

Makes a lot of sense, getting blocks from a shield on your back.
