Checking resources taking forever. (Is there a full offline installer for PoE?)
I downloaded the installer at http://webcdn.pathofexile.com/downloads/PathOfExileInstaller.msi. After downloading the installer, I'm stuck at the "Checking resources" message. How can i bypass this installation message? Thanks.

Hard disk Space: 130 GB free of 465 GB.
I read some information in the forums and found out that the problem might be in the available Hard disk space. Currently i have Hard disk Space: 130 GB free of 465 GB. I'm certain that 130GB of space is big enough for the free hard disk space requirement in PoE/path of Exile. Is there a solution to this problem? Do i need to free more HDD space? If Yes, then How much HDD Space should I free? Or is there an alternative way of downloading a full offline installer of the game so that i can bypass the " Checking Resources" message? Thanks. |

Update: Download in progress.
Question: When i quit the Installer can i resume download? I'm Downloading @ 90kbps per sec. (maximum for my internet service provider) |

Currently having this same issue, would love to know what you did to fix the problem op.
Mine has been stuck at checking resources for the past half-hour. I have good internet speed, and enough ram(2.0gb)/processing speed(intel 2.20)/hard drive space(155gb), so I don't really see why this is happening. Has anyone else had this issue? Did you have to restart your computer or something to get to work? |

I'm suffering from the same problem - and my install used to work (I have several chars over level 40).
See http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/69172 Note: I'm a supporter, so it shouldn't be a problem with free closed beta accounts or anything like that. Forcing a "Run as administrator" on the short-cut doesn't seem to help either. Using the installer to "repair files" doesn't work. I recall a thread recently where someone was having problems instaling.
Check you disk formating,if its fat32 thats your problem becuase of the max file size being 4gb and the main game file being over 4gig Ancestral Bond. It's a thing that does stuff. -Vipermagi

1) I've already run the client successfully many times
2) The log files clearly show the checker is stuck on 2DItems 13 3) I'm running Win 7 64 which has no problems with files >4gig @ OP and others. Go to Program Files(x86) > Grinding Gear Games > Path of Exile > Logs > client.txt and see if / where you're hanging. If it's the same file, then at least we know the issue. Just in case there's some issue in the startup of the client, I'll go ahead and put up the beginning & near end of my most recent log that lasted about.. 5 hours give or take.

I tried it many times throughout the day, with the same sort of end result, just ending on a different file. One might stop at queueing a beach terrain file, while another stopped at a spell effect. I have deleted content.ggpk file as instructed in another thread by one of those shiny gold members, but that didn't work either. Who knows, it could be because my C drive, for some ungodly reason, has 20% fragmentation. I'm going to defrag and try again, see it that makes it work. |

Is it possible that being outside of the default location is causing the patcher to stop working after 5 seconds? Because when initially installing I put it in its own folder in my documents library, since I've never got any issues from it before.
