@Metron07

Is this a serious question??

Legacy Kaoms Heart is IMHO the best armour for almost every build (especially the high % life ones).

If I only had one...

Ty for the reply, but i think its hard to acquire now a legacy Kaom.
So thats why iam looking for alternatives!
Yeah.

I don't think new Kaom's is worth it's prize :/

Carcass 6L might be a good option- if You can get it witch good colours.

Thanks for the guide! I`ve started to play this month and it helped a lot. I`m basicly playing this build now, with a lvl48 Marauder.
I`m having a lot of trouble now in act 2 cruel, even 5 levels above the maps. Pretty much any pack of blues make me run a little. I died about 5 times at the giant spider, and even had A LOT of trouble with a yellow monster (those giant worms that come from the ground) cause it had regen life and leech life mods, so it kept healing...
Anyway, is this normal, is it really supposed to be this difficult? Or am I just not playing well? I feel like playing a melee is tough cause I cant keep my distance, so I have to take the hits.

It would be a good idea to post your gear and tree so we can have a look and give advice. Also post resists, armor, etc.

So I shouldnt be having this much trouble? It isnt this hard?
My tree is just like the one suggested at this thread, but I have some 10 unallocated points. My gear is kinda ok I think. Since this is my first char I`m equipping the best I`m picking, basicly strength-based rare ones now. My resist are very low cause I use IRI rings and amulet lol, but I switch them for resists before a hard fight, except for chaos which I just dont have almost anything.
One thing I`m doing different than the OP said is I dont use Enduring Cry, Im leveling it up now. I`m using Molten Shell instead.

Thks.

No you shouldn't be having that much trouble. Maybe one mob that has bad affixes, but struggling with every pack of blues at 5 levels above the area? No.

I would say you should definitely be running Enduring Cry and picking up the Enduring Cry nodes in the tree per the build spec. It's pivotal for this build. For every node you generate from the cry (1 node per 1 enemy in the casting radius up to the charge max), you stack an additional 4% phys dog reduce and 4% elemental dmg reduce. Per charge. At your level you can get up to 20+ charges in a big pack.

You can pair it with a "Cast on Damage Taken" gem and you don't even have to bother hitting the button. It'll just happen. Leap into the pack. Profit. Molten Shell, defensively, has what? A shitty static +armor mod that can be pierced? No thanks.

Then after that, fix your resists. CAP THEM OUT. 20% resist is not enough in Cruel. Those worm things (devourers) are destroying you because they do a lot of fire damage.
Also allocate your 10 points. At your level that means you probably haven't allocated the southeast section life / life regen/ and resist nodes. Or moved up into Scion for those resist and life nodes. So you're not allocating defensive points and then complaining about not having enough survivability...

This build is SUPER tanky. So if you are dying quickly, it's gear or you're not following the build. In your case I'd say both. The guide clearly says rings and amulets are for resists. Why are you running IRI for a build that is, other than life and resists, largely gear agnostic? Especially in cruel where you can't sell anything you find.

If you need it, run a Rarity gem. At your level you could be getting +40% IRI from that one gem and not waste gear slots, since the socket requirements are so very low for Cruel.
Loving this build. been following it since its inception and honestly have never had so much fun playing a game. I am currently sitting with this tree:

http://www.pathofexile.com/passive-skill-tree/AAAAAgEAAecFLQ48D8wS4RQgFHEZLho4GlUc5yDwJ-0t0jGeMgk1kjboOtg64UCgQT9BqkTnRmlKyE3jUEdQUFHmVElXDVhjWK9Z818_YEthIWSjah5qO2xGbqpybHKpdO14DXrvfNmC5ITvhymHaoiPiPGKr4zPkBGQVZ65ns2fy6LqplemZKcwp4SoGKlurFmsqrQvtfK53b68wBrG2MmY0EfSIdlh3sHfv-St51LnY-w47w7yL_JF8932SPe-_gr-jw==

And my gear is as follows:

My other stats sit at:

Life: 4268
Armor: 1902
Resistances: Max
Chaos Resitance: -27%
Groundslam DPS: 9217.8
Heavy Strike DPS: 18092.5

My questions are as follows:

1) For end game mapping, should I focus on finding a six link mace first or focus on getting my gems to 20% quality? (I know I could have better rings/boots/gloves but they are working fine atm.)

2) Are all of my gems worth getting to 20% quality?

3) Am I running the optimal gem setup?

4) Where shodl I go next on my skill tree?

Thank you so much for your advice.

Things are getting better now, I`m playing a bit better. I tried Endurance Charge on Melee Stun and when I get a couple of charges I`m ok, so I`ll use Enduring Cry now to get the charges. But I dont have Cast on Damage Taken yet.
Lol that Devourer was a one time thing. One damn yellow worm with regen and life leech that kept healing. My resists are around 40%, but I`ve put some more fire resist (dont remember if it was capped) and still couldnt do it, took me some time. Then I knew something was wrong.
I stopped allocating points cause I was having second thoughts. I kind of realized melee isnt my thing. But it seemed this build was the right one for a beginner, so I`m not sure what to do.

Thks a lot for the help.
Glad you seem to be doing better. However if you post your gear we can make suggestions on replacement pieces, gem placement, etc.

Doctor: LOTS of planets have a North!!!
Awesome build for a beginner like me. Thank you for putting up this build. One question thought, I find myself lack of basic INT for IIR gem and from the passive tree, getting +10 INT from the top left corner feels like waste of points for me.

And I been stacking life/strength in my items. Where should I get some INT?

It is a waste. Sadly, about the only pure intelligence node worth taking is Hard Knocks. You could go for Ancestral Knowledge in a bind, but the best way to boost intelligence is to get it on gear.

More int = Hard Knocks and Carnage Heart
