You're the only one throwing a bitch fit in the thread about it. Also most people, at least people i know, only play hardcore alone or with friends. I don't play hardcore to group with pubbies, no real player who wants to get far in hardcore will join public games. And on the small chance they do, they look the fuck out for people trying to kill them.
I would be happy to see people like you never touch hardcore again, i don't care if that means i play solo for all time.

Ok genius, then why are you so supportive of this "feature" if you yourself admit that most people play HC alone or with friends? If you play it alone, this event does not matter, and if you play it with friends...again...it does not matter. So your brilliant self likes this particular event....why? For the few people that might be on the fence about playing HC? You think this will draw them to it when they get fucked by you and your friends?

I'm going to make my post as neutral as humanly possible, but this is to the people who say "play with friends/people you trust":
The logic is a little flawed and cannot work for everyone. You may have friends, but how many actually play PoE with you? If you don't have many actual friends who play the same game, you'll find that you'll be unable to group with trusted players for several reasons (work, school, sick, etc). And let us not forget timezones if your friends are mostly online.
Suppose you have no friends (foreveralone.jpg) or friends that aren't interested in playing PoE with you. What then? That leaves you to one final course of action if you really find it necessary is to play with pubs. Finding new friends or trusted players isn't as easy as asking "Hey bro, can I trust you won't kill me in hardcore when we reach [bandit]?". You have to play with them a few times, understand how they work before you can declare them trustworthy.
You can't make friends unless you take the risk of playing with strangers. Of course you can fly solo, but thats not the point.
So please, before you tell people to play with friends if they're worried about back-stabbing, consider not everyone has friends or friends who can play with them at that moment.
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.
Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!

Didn't read the whole thread (to long) but here's the solution:
If not all players choose the same, a warning should pop up and a countdown should start, say like 5 seconds or so. Gives you time enough to react and portal out.

It's not my fault you have no friends to play with. You could go on softcore and play public games and make friends that way. Then ask them to roll hardcore toons for fun, then BAM, you have friends to play hardcore with.
Or sign up on a guild site or what ever and join hardcore parties with your guildies.
