Permanent Allocation by default!!

How about SA lasts 10/15 seconds instead of fucking 2. PA sucks because stragglers who don't do jack get items, but SA sucks if you are ranged bc you have to be on RED ALERT at all times to move in to grab your item.

I don't think you know how short allocation works, it is based on your distance from the item.

That is about the time you always ATLEAST have, usually it is longer if you're ranged and far from the mobs.

In fact, I think FFA should be default.

in the case explained in OP, he played solo, encountered boss, made public.
in that case, he CANNOT change to PA because the corrupted instance was already entered.

there is the actual flaw.

lets assume the leech sniped the last of his 4 needed atziri pieces to enter her map.

FFA is fail imo. Rangers, casters and support are really in disadvantage here.
but thats a choise

Please bring back FFA as the only way to play.

It goes against no lifers being able to steal more than their share and guiding combat around stealing items rather than killing monsters.

It was permanent by default before, then the whining started because they couldn't catch unsuspecting group creators off guard for item stealing.

You should be able to set your own default so when you make games it chooses what you want.

isnt the vaal item ffa? ive seen it allocated to me in a PA game and someone else grabbed it

I'd say it should remember the last setting you personally changed the loot setting to be.

Whenever you start a party, it will be set at that.
