How much Orb of Fusing does it take to make a 6 link item?

I used 300 so far and no 6 link... Is my item bugged, is it supposed to take 1,000 or something? Cause it took me a very long time to get 300.
Or is this just a pay to win where you have to trade for everything you need because of how rng the rolling system is?

Estimates say that the probability is about 1 in 900 for 0% quality item. It's not rare to have to use 2000+ fusings. It's much cheaper to buy a hand-me-down. It has nothing to do with pay-to-win. Nothing at all.

My advice is to stop when you get to 5L+1. There's about a 10% chance that you'll get a 6L before a 5L. Don't go for 6L until you really know that's what you want and are ready to pay what ever it costs. Don't come and complain that it took 10,000 fusings.

wow really.. so I have to grind for years to be able to make my own 6link... thats kinda sad... and that is only a 1 6link item...

I'm trying to 6L two unique armors. I've used more than 3000 so far. The uniques aren't even that good, but as I'm playing self found only - I wount give up. EVER!



When the words "just trade for it, it's easyer and cheaper" are used as often as they are in PoE, there is clearly something wrong with the design.

I miss a good aRPG that is not centered around trading. I miss D2. Yes we had trading there, but the drop rates was not made with trading in mind.

I've been around since closed beta. Still haven't been able to 6L anything. It may be my destiny. Used every orb that I've found on my best, high level items. I may be doomed.

Am I dumb? No. Am I a noob? No. I just don't trade. Oh, wait, that's a dumb thing in PoE. Ok. So. I'm dumb.

Not years. Not even months. Gear up with your 5-L and start grinding fusings. You can trade up from alts. Well equipped, you wont take a month of play to get enough fusings for a serious attempt.

It has to be this way or else the game would have to be balanced assuming that everyone had one or two on each character. You'd be here complaining about how the game forced you to grind in order to even have a chance.

The current system is in place so that you have the choice, and can benefit from the extra link.

If you just want a 6L... any 6L... you can get them by using Vaal Orbs on items. That seems to be a quicker route.

Yah I kinda wanted to have fun playing this game with self found stuff.. but from what people are saying this is not a self found game, this is a trade only game which is not a good thing for a game to be.... So now I just play to farm currency to buy all my items... kinda disappointing..

Took me a year to get 300... how you saying my 10 years of grinding will turn into simply 1 month? I really would like to know...Unless u assuming I find tons of exalted orbs, which i have yet to find.

Your "choices" in PoE are an illusion.

Many of us want to play and progress. Make different builds. Have fun. But, if i read correctly, in PoE you NEED to make a MF char - and grind for months, to supply your other chars.
