GGG doesnt respond ?

Hey Guys,

i got banned like 1 Week ago and my whole guild to...
we all wrote messages to ggg over the email, but noone of us got a answer.
What can we do ? :(
Did you email the right address (the one in the Contact Support link at the top of the page).

A lot of people try to send emails to support, but use the wrong address.

Also keep in mind that communication might be limited while they are investigating accounts. Account investigations can sometimes take a few weeks depending on the load on the investigations team, and what they find on the account. It's not unheard of to have an investigation take a while.

But I'd certainly make sure you emailed the correct address, and that your email provider isn't blocking/filtering their replies. (add their address to your address book and mark them as "allowed" to prevent spam or other filtering)

The investigation process can take a while depending on the team load and other factors.. so yes. It's not a 1-day answer. It's more likely 7 to 14 days.
Same problem here.

I have been playing Path of exile since january 2013 with my son and we 've been banned a few days ago without any notification. (No 1st e-mail from ggg, no reason provided)

I've already create a ticket to support (Grinding Gear Games <support@grindinggear.com>),GGG have first replied in 5 min then nothing during days ... I can post all message here but maybe it is against forum rules.

I've bought several pack : (200 USD)
Open Beta support pack
Regal pack
Warrior pack

This week i was on holiday, it will end tommorrow, and GGG team still haven't unlock my account.

I am really annoyed and i will think twice before give more money to GGG.

NB: I have also a tenant (and a good friend) which was living in the same residence in 2013 which have been also banned without notification 10 days ago. (he lives now in germany since 5 month). Fortunatly he has never buyed any packs to GGG.

Be aware GGG seems ready and efficient to take your money for upgrading packs or for making teasing on reddit but for solving user's problems or for providing real content (i mean real content, new class or new ACTs, not MTX or chest box) nobody is present.

Sorry for my poor english. I am french and furious...

Full account investigations take a while, there is a queue and they'll get back to you when it's your ticket's turn. Just have patience. :-)
Why don't they investigate first and then ban ?

I don't understand their process, they deprivre me and my son during my holiday, whithout any notifications.

It is a strange behaviour, not correct at all, i am 37 year old, have played a lot of videos games and i 've never banned and it sounds strange that a compagny ban their customer with an automated process. If they want loose money, it seems a good way. If they do that in a automatic way , they should have someone that correct their own mistake with high priority (in less than one hour).

What do you think, when they will unban my account, do you think i 'll fell confident for buying more stashs (for me and my son) ? I don't thing so, i even realize that i've already spend 200 USD in one video game and now i am not feeling very well for this lack of respect from GGG.

Because investigations take a long time, and they don't want botters ruining the economy during that time. So they make the accounts locked/banned/inactive so that they can investigate without any more damage being done.

If you are truly innocent than they'll unban you once the investigation is done and you can go about playing again. It's also not specifically an automated process. They detected something on your account that flagged it as suspicious. When you contacted them, they started a more thorough investigation (because bots don't normally start an investigation).

It's generally not easy to get banned in this game unless you were doing something suspicious. Their detection mechanisms aren't perfect, but their investigations are very thorough. Rest assured that if you are indeed innocent, they'll set your account back to active. If you have ever done anything against the Terms of Service however, the account will likely stay banned. They also don't provide specific reasons why because it helps the cheaters understand how they were caught. I know it is a not very transparent process, but it is their process to protect the integrity of the game.

Well you seems knowing better than me what it is going here ...

I don't know , if i am innocent, i don't know why my son and i were banned.

I play 9 tons, i've leveled three caracters at 85+ level and i farm 72-73 maps (i am to weak to go upper and it is too expensive, i prefer make some currency in order to buy one day a Crown of eyes). Yes i play since 18 month and i don't have currency for this kind of items, so i guess that economy has already a problem, i earn a few ex per month (most of time by selling or flipping a good item) and the crown of eyes cost 20 ex more each month .... I play in standard and ambush league (in ambush it is even worst for me, i have never loot an ex, never, and i don't play enough to make currency).

If you want to know i have more or less 40 ex and 3 or 4 items that have a 10 ex+ value ( a legacy BOR, a low roll shavronne that i can't 6 link ..., and a really nice aegis aurora. I have maybe 40 stashs , maybe more, 35 are full or poor objets, 2 for currency, 4 for maps and 2 or 3 for my nice items. I keep also my son's items.

I play 2 or 3 hours per day (and not every day), during holidays sometime i play more.

Botter must have mirrored items, mirrors and a lot of ex .... It doesn't make any sense. It remembers me when i was arrested when i was 21 with my first car (a very old ford escord 1.1), i was flashed at 140 km/h , this car couldn't even go through 110 km/h, when the policeman tell me why i was arrested i've laught and give him my keys car and challenge him to take my car at 110 km/h. He haved thought hard and then he let me go.

Right now i've just bought Gim Dawn indee game, 24€ that will not fall in GGG pocket. If they don't care about their customer, i can go away.

My holidays are gone ... GGG still haven't answer me ... Amazing for a compagny which is supposed to communicate and deal with their fans.

Maybe their stategy is to make their 10% of addicted fans (those who buyed a lot of packs) payed twice. It seems hard ... not at all. Let us ban somes users directly without using a 3rd party independant compagny, and if community discover it ? We will says them to trust us, we ban only players who play 10 hours + and which have more 100 ex.

I hope some players will at least think about it, i've made some research on google and it seems that i am not alone in this case.

Hopefully GGG have only scam me 200 USD, and it is just a game.


I've really enjoyed the community of POE players, it makes many years that i haven't feel a such good feeling when asking for help. I truly hope that nothing like this will happened to you.
