As somebody who never played hardcore before the race and finished at level 54 with my second character (phys split crit ranger), I can say that was a blast.
Pushing for Cruel Dominus this afternoon was tense and by all rights I should have ripped after an accidental weapon swap in phase 2 had me flustered, but making to Merciless and still alive to push for that HC Merc Dom kill is awesome. I put my eye on this game a while ago but never felt motivated enough to get into it. This event motivated me and I have to say that it was really, really fun.
