Mortal Conviction; Auras now cost 10 times their % reservation as a flat cost

60% aura => 600 flat HP cost

Thoughts?

Pretty solid idea, actually. Would give actual BM users the aura options while low life would struggle to abuse it.

Stack aura cost reduction, now BM has every aura in the game for a relatively trivial cost. Again.

Include a duration too and it would be meaningful. Otherwise, hell no. 5 active Auras with no cost?

Well honestly current aura users do get 5 auras for no cost. In fact the extra auras are in fact increasing tehir total power (thanks pain low life).

Cost in time is not a cost that should be used to balance effective numbers in these kinds of things.

No cost? Looks like if you got every mana reserve reduction node in the tree, you'd have 38% reduced mana reserved. That plus a level 20 RM gem would make a 600 mana aura cost around 265 life. It would take quite a lot of your passive points to get all those aura nodes. And then you'd need lots of life and/or ES nodes or you'd be getting 1-shot by everything in endgame. Doesn't leave a lot of points available for damage nodes. If you want to run 5 auras at 265 life each, you're giving up 1325 life. That's quite a lot. BM users don't usually want to give up much life, as evidenced by the refusal to use Mortal Conviction and auras between 1.0.0 and 1.2.0.

BM used to be used (through the gem) to trivialize flat reservation auras. Sure they were less powerful at the time, but it essentially allowed you to trivialize half the auras in the game.

I calculated it out once and the right setup could reserve like 4 auras for 600 life, with remaining auras on Mana.

Edit: and at least spell "stupidest" right.

40% was too low, 60% is perfect especially with the beefier aura node, champion of the cause near it, added reduced mana gem also resulted in reasonable amount of life reserved compared to the previous 40% skill tree node. My BM char can have 2 auras now and still have enough life to survive the turmoils of melee.:)
