Help using poe.trade

Hi everyone,

I am looking for some help with poe.trade.

I have an item that I want to sell (not currency, but equipment). How do I go about importing it onto the site? I am unable to figure it out.

Hey,

poe.trade works by basically scanning 'shop' threads in the trading sections of the forum.

The most common way people manage their shop is by one of two tools:

1) Procurement: https://github.com/Stickymaddness/Procurement/

2) Acquisition: https://github.com/xyzz/acquisition/releases

These tools install as third party software, and can manage pricing and updating your items onto poe.trade via a shop thread.

Instructions for setup is on their respective sites.

Just make thread on trading forum and put items there. Poe.trade automaticaly add items from trading forum to its list.

So all I need to do is add an item to the trading forums?

Just use acquisition.

correct, all the 3rd party sites and tools do is either search the trade forum or give you an interface to make creating shop threads easier if you have many items you want to list.

There's one other things you want to do, which is show as online on poe.trade. Many people (including me) only look for items from people who are online.

You automatically show as online if you have a certain position on the ladder (top ten thousand?) but if you don't, you can use your personal poe.trade link to show as online. Just message poexyzis on the forums stating that you need your personal link to be shown as online and you'll get it soon. Third party programs like Procurement save you a bit of bother by setting you as online automatically upon their start (once you've given them your link).

I believe it is top fifteen thousand, as this is the limit that the ladder shows.


If you are going to create your own forum thread then have a look at the syntax of the pricing on some other threads. You have to following this syntax if you want poe.trade to index your price correctly.


For example:
~b/o 10 chaos

would list this belt on poe.trade for 10 chaos orbs

also note that many items you find on poe.trade are overpriced. Things sell for prices that are close to the lowest price of similar items (by similar I also mean unique items with similar key mod(s) roll(s) - value can greatly vary there)
