Does Slayers "Headsman" work with totems?!

Would like to play warchief totems with max. aoe. next league but the note says: "20% more damage & 20% inc. aoe. if you've killed recently. So does that mean I would have to kill something myself without using totems? Cheers Zahkriisos! :) Trying to satisfy the whole PoE community is like telling a nymphomaniac to only have sex once in a week. Yeah, totem kills don't count as yours and don't trigger on-kill effects, except for the few that specifically proc when your totems get a kill too.

If your totems have some dot(bleed/poison) and the mobs die to that, it will count you as the killer and not the totem
