Payment with Bitcoin
Hi,
every year I buy some points and I ask myself "why is there no possibility to pay with bitcoin?". Paypal and all this stuff takes ridiculous margin (10%? or is this only in combination with ebay? however >4%) and credit cards also take margins. For Bitcoin margin is much less, <1% and it might add the nice effect of "Well, Bitcoin just rose by 20% in price, I'll go buy some coins in PoE :D http://www.roadatlas.eu Last bumped4 нояб. 2016 г., 20:37:42

Bitcoins are not real money in the same way that USD or other nations' currencies are. I'm aware that they can function as money, but their value fluctuates much more which would give the company an increased risk and cost for dealing with it.

Paypal has no fees for the buyer, only on selling things and on sending money. Of course there are some shops that charge extra once you select paypal as an option, but GGG is not one of those.
Points/support packs are a fixed price. Your example of wanting to buy something after the currency gained value is pretty dumb. |

" If you use a payment service like Bitpay you can choose to get your earnings directly in Dollar, so Bitcoin fluctuations can be avoided. " Well of course it is pretty dumb, but this is how people act. It's not like I think this might be the case, it has been shown in market studies, that this is a real effect. Still it is not the main point of my argument. Your point that users don't have to pay the fees is really short-sighted. Because GGG has to pay the fees. You give Money to GGG. They use the money to improve the game you play. If 2%-10% of what I give to GGG does not reach GGG, but rather an overpriced payment system, then I get 2-10% less game improvement for the money. If given the choice I try to avoid paypal even if it does not make a difference to *me*. Btw this is even part of paypals model. Since customers decide on payment method, paypal does not charge customers, so they chose their payment service (out of convenience) rather than another one. http://www.roadatlas.eu
