Simple race and latency goes into the dance mode 30-400-30-400 wtf ? Loading assets still is in a shit spot and Headhunter races only prove that. Hope DX11 changes and new resource management for 3.0 will fix it ffs. did the headhunter race yesterday on the frankfurt server, no lag, no server crash, assets loaded in seconds, smooth gameplay...
which server were you on? there is no complaints on reddit for crashed servers so i suspect you got client side problems or issues on your oute to the server. age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!

similar experience today as well, and every so often before this (with large swaths of completely normal playtime aside). had to just call it for the day when i was randomly going 50-400-50-400-50-400-1200-disconnect.
this is via the texas (us) gateway, with -noasync on. for reference, having -noasync off simply presents me with a slideshow for several minutes upon logging in (to say nothing of frequent disconnects, no doubt also due to load). dying to said slideshows and losing days of grinding because of it sure is frustrating. also, vio: "it works fine for me, just get better computer/internet since this is obviously some failing on your part (every single one of you reporting this issue) since there's no problem here." is surprisingly not the answer to anyone's problems or in any way helpful. for example, in times when the connection for POE is shitting the bed for me, i can run and play final fantasy 14 on high settings with no issues or connection hiccups (which by all rights should be more of a load on the system than POE as well), which suggests that at least in my case, the issue is in fact not on my end. |

" poe is basically different from other games when it comes to the client being dependent on a good connection to the server: it's much more sensitive to lag. resons being that poe doesn't trust the client in any way, any info coming from the user is treated as being sent from a bot and it has block, stun, dodge, evasion etc ... implemented server side which other games mostly don't have. the network model could be much simpler without this tech and less security. i'm glad it's not. but that's not helping players with bad connections either. --- eventually, complaining here about server issues is non-sensical. if the server crashes or has issues answering client commands in time, ggg's telemetry service tells devs directly about these issues and in case of a crash they get automatic bug reports. so they kind of know where the game sucks on their part already. that leaves player's posts being useful if they seek help, if they don't believe ggg is doing it's best to debug the game on their side and staying in business then ... trust other game developers is probably the best solution. age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!
