Some OP Uniques ideas

Ok, ideas for some OP uniques nobody wants to hear about :X

24 Dexterity and Intelligence

Get 3.5% damage reduction with each Melee damage notable passive
Enemies take 100% increased Melee damage and Melee damage over time (Doesn't work with Reave, Lacerate and probably bunch of other skills)
Immune to Volatiles, Detonate Dead, Bearers and Porcupines explossions
Unique and Rare enemies deal Less damage according to distance to the player (up to 40% Less damage)
Can not use Curses
Can not summon Totems, Traps, Mines and Minions
Can only deal Melee damage

I think a more interesting way of doing this would be to make the user immune to damage for 1 second when a rare or unique enemy is killed. I don't think porcupine, DD, or bearer immunity are necessary. Most melee builds can tank through porcupines rather easily, DD is crazy rare and usually easy to see coming (I rarely see it outside boxes and a few bosses), and bearers give you plenty of warning (usually, I think that the particle needs to be easier to see but that's a whole different balance issue).

As for the increase to melee damage, I would give it a melee version of Point Blank (or just let Point Blank work with melee), so that using a "true" melee skill is rewarded while Lacerate and the like are unaffected.

Nix the curse thing, though. Melee is pretty dependent on curses, arguably far more than ranged.

50% chance to get End charge on melee hit? It's probably even more broken than 500% more melee damage and other funny stuff :D Rip Jugg

And like 10-15 or something seconds of automated phys immunity XD

DPS is quite a bit smaller than Starforge's though. And elemental damage is still a bitch, oh wait 5% max res :D

Good points. Being able to immune to such stuff would make player such a no-brainer. I like one second immunity - saves from Volatiles. There is detonate dead totems sometimes + some bosses use it. Porcupines still hurt a lot man.

Considering ton of extra hp, 40% less damage + like 20% reduced damage taken from nodes + endurance charges + fortify, I think having Defensive curses would be just too much. Considering that 100% more damage + dot damage is 3 times stronger than Vulnerablity, same for offensive curses. XD

Pretty interesting one. I am not sure about math, but 5% reduction maybe be significant for mobs.

To the sword, if I wanted to make it stupid, but not boarderline broken, I suppose I could give it the "assassin" treatment and make it 10% on melee hits. The one thing I dislike about it still is that it encourage multi strike even more. But, just like a God like being, you get to be immmmortal.

For the ring, I was going for making an insane MELEE ring, but didn't encourage "melee" (sunder/EQ). I don't know if any melee skill has the chain tag, and Infernal Blow/Molten Strike/Bad Skills is collateral damage of this, but IB already sees play in facebreaker, so I think it's fine.

The flavor would be: A Nipple ring can be a symbol of power, resolve or folly.-Nippleman

I just want melee to be playable. I have always been drawn to it, but this league I am running CI Frostbolt for fun, to do something slightly new, but still on the same ol Ghost Reaver/VP ES shit show. One more piece for fun:
