Jewel Socket in passives tree?

Returning player, lotta new stuff. Help a lazy guy out that doesn't wanna sift through a bunch of irrelevant search results?

Jewels are items that exist in the game world like Flasks or Swords.

If you allocate a Jewel Socket, you are allowed to place a Jewel in that socket and gain its benefits.

Jewels tend to have modifiers on them that are like passive nodes.

Are they valuable/expensive?

Price all depends. A 4 property jewel that has good synergistic properties can be VERY expensive.

Depends, but if I had to pick Yes or No, I would pick Yes.

Unique Jewels tend to be very cheap, unless they're a high-demand one like Volley Fire.

Common Uniquw Jewels, and Magic and Rare Jewels can be bought for as little as 1 alchemy orb.

Four-mod Jewels with all highly desirable mods, usually damage, tend to sell for multiple Exalted Orbs.
