Why do you insist on using redit instead of your site

We post a lot here as well. Last time someone actually bothered to look into it and count posts, it was close, but there were more dev posts happening here on the forums than on reddit, despite many people's insistence to the contrary. Dev posts on reddit are much more noticeable, though, because they tend to get a lot of upvotes. This makes people see a much higher percentage of dev posts made on reddit compared to dev posts made here.

I post more here than on reddit, but people notice and react to my posts on reddit more (except for the ones who stalk my post history - hi guys!). Some of the perceived imbalance is just that - perceived. I've seen posts here complaining about things being posted on reddit instead of the forums, when the reddit post in question was actually someone linking to a post on the forums.

In addition, for small bits of information that aren't worth making a news post for, but are useful to get out there to the comminity at large, it's more beneficial for the community as a whole for that information to be on reddit than posted in a thread here, because more people will find it there. If I answer a question here, the poster and anyone else who finds the thread will see it. If I answer a question on reddit, regardless of actual importance it gets upvoted to the point lots of people will see it.

Many of us read reddit in what little spare time we have, and it's not anyone's business to tell us not to take advantage of that platform to communicate something if we see an opportunity to do so while we're there. If I see a simple question while browsing reddit I can helpfully answer, I'm going to throw off a quick response there rather than opening up the forums and trying to see if anyone here has asked the same thing since last time I read the appropriate subforum.

And not all dev communication on the forums is publicly visible - I answer a lot of PMs as well.

A generic "count" is completely invalid. 90+% of dev posts on your site (this site) are "Hey, keep is civil guys! Here's our code of conduct!" If you look at actual substance, there's not a lot going on here at all.
I believe the count was of developer posts, not support.
