1. Foreword
First of all sorry if i made some Spelling misstakes, English is not my First language, but feel free to Correct me :)
With revealing "The coming Calamity" i was spontaneous hyped to make a build around that interesting new Unique. I had several approaches to make a build around and this is finally the Result: The Haralder

2. Overview
The Build is 100% a Map-clearer. You can kill Bosses with it, but you will have a hard time with it an kite them around. The other big topic about this build is that is not a Budget build and not a good Leaguestarter, because you will need some Uniques to make it run properly. It is hard to throw out actual numbers for the Damage, because with this build you do damage from several different Sources.

3. Pro's and Con's
+ relativly easy to play due the mechanics of the skills
+ You are moving most of the time so it is easy to dodge stuff
+ You do not need to find the right timing for skills and stuff
+ Most of the stuff happens automatically
+ A Non-Meta but still powerfull Hipster build

- Needs certain Uniques
- Not that shiny in group play
- Not very high damage against bosses
- Lab can be a pain
- Cannot reach giant amounts of life
- without mobs to kill the Movementspeed is not that high

4. Gear and Gems
I will put in here the in my Opinion BIS Gear, Alternatives you will find at the last Part of the guide.

Body:

Of course a 6L would be better, but this item is Mandatory so there is no Alternative for it.
That beauty allosw us to Link Heralds with as many gems as we want but they will stay at 45% reseveration. The Downside of this Body Armor is that is has no life or Res on it, and it is an ES Armor. I thought about making this build ES based, but only CI would be an option or LL with Esh Visage, but the win we would get from Lowlife is not that high that it would balance out that 2 of the Main ES sources would be blocked with 2x 200 ES.

Helmet:
The Best option would be a https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/The_Tempest%27s_Binding but sadly i did not got the possibility to get one of those Beauties yet, but it would "only" offer a Damage boost, so it is not really Mandatory. If you do not have a Tempest Binding, you can use whatever Helmet you want.

Boots:

They are one of our triggers and we use them to Curse enemies and get Onslaugh from them. They are the biggest QoL Improvement we can have, only downside is that there is only 15% Movementspeed on them. The Lack of Life and Res ist also there, but the Inbuild Skill is unbeatable for our Purpose.

Gloves:
I use
because it is a strong offensive Option we got from them. The Life Roll is ok, the Res are good and the Unique ability can really Boost our Damage. Another Option would be Southbound Gloves or Voidbringer if you really need the Crit for the Spells.

Amulet:
Absolutly BIS. Give us 75% Critchance, 50% Lightning Damage, the Triggerspell is a very huge Damage boost for us and the Int helps to get enough to level all our Gems. Sadly no real good other Option here.

Rings:
of Course for the Free Wrath Aura, which has thank to Coming Calamity no impact at the Heralds at all.
Second Ring: A Rare Ring with high life Roll and filling the missing Res.

Belt:
A Rare Belt to fill the missing Res, best may be a Leather Belt for a huge life boost.

Weapons:
The Weapon of my Choice is two times:
The Hindered Effect does not stack but one of them Alone is huge, the added Damage buffs our Lightning Bolt from the Amulett greatly and the 80% Damage boost is obvious nice. But here are of course other options available which i will discuss at the end of this guide.

Jewels:
In my Setup are 1x Inspired Learning, 1x Mantra of Flames and 4 Rare Jewels. You want Resistence on your Jewels next to Life. Best other Affix would be "increased Critical Chance with elemental Skills" as well as Lightning Damage.

Flasks:
Atziris Promise
The Wise Oak (just get sure that your overcapped Resistances are all at the same %)
Writhing Jar (to trigger the Heralds even when no Mob is around)
Anti Bleed Flask
Anti Freeze Flask

Gem Setups:

Abberath's Hooves (RBBG): Curse on hit + Curse of your Choice (I personally use Warlords Mark for the Leech and the Endurance charges) + Onslaught + Increased Critical Strike chance. Crit is for triggerin Elemental Overload + Lightning Bolt from our Amulet, Onslaught is to gain Onslaught. Due our Skilltree it will last 8s so it will be there all the time as long as we kill

Coming Calamity (BBBBGG): Herald of Thunder + Ice Bite + Innervate + Added Cold Damage + Immolate + Added Lightning Damage.
In Case you only have a 4L drop Added Cold and Added Lightning, if you have a 5L drop Added Lightning Damage.
With Ice Bite we will be allmost all the time at Max Frenzy charges, the additional Freeze is great and the Damage too, The Buff we get vrom Innervate is great too, even HoT cannot shock by itself, it still can kill shocked enemies to trigger the Buff.

Helmet (GGBR): Herald of Ice + Ice Bite + Innervate + Cold to Fire. If you manage to get a Tempest's Binding Replace Ice Bite and Innervate with Added Cold and added Lightning Damage, Colors stay the same but it would booost the Damage greatly.

Gloves (GGRR): Summon Ice Golem + Summon Fire Golem + Cast when Damage Taken + Phase Run.
CwDT should be Level 7, the others Level 9. Because of the high generation of Frenzy charges, Phase run will be up allmost all time as long as we fight. Fire Golem instead of Lighning Golem because of our Passive we gain better Improvements from it than from Lightning Golem, because we do not Care about Cast or Attack speed.

Mainhand (BBB): Orb of Storms + Power charge on Critical + Increased Critical Strike Chance.
Simply to procc Lightning Bolt and generate Power Charges for us.

Offhand (RRR): Cast when Damage Taken + Immortal Call + Increased Duration
Kinda self Explaining. With the Endurance Charges from the Warlords and the Increased Duration from the Tree it has a decent uptime.

5. Passive Skilltree, Ascendency and Bandits Breakdown

Skilltree: http://poeurl.com/bsbZ
That is the in my Opinion for that gearset best Skilltree. The Jewellslot next to the Shadow starting Zone is to fill with "Inspired learning". The other slots can be used as wished. Of course you can Vary the Skilltree how you wish, but with that Skilltree and the items listed above you will be able to get about 5.2k Life. Yes that will not work with Shaper, but it is a Mapping Character and it works with that amount of Life

Special leveling Tree's are not Needed, you can just level with any Spell you want as long at is no Summon or Totem spell.

Ascendency:

Liege of the Primordial -> Shaper of Desolation -> Beacon of Ruin -> Paragon of Calamity

For the Bandits is only one real Option for us: The Skillpoints.
Oak would give us 2% Phys reduction, because we do not have Life Regen because of Vaal pact and we do not deal Phys damage.
Alira would give us only 15% all Res because we do not need Mana Regen and we have no Crit Multi because of Elemental Overload
Kraytin would give us 6% Movementspeed and 3% Dodge attacks, the attack/cast Speed does not Matter to us.

6. Playstyle and Videos
It is very simple, you just buff yourself up and either use your Writhing Jar or just run into the first Crowd. With all the Synergies you will procc the Heralds, you will generate Charges, you will spread Ailment, you will Procc Lightning Bolt and the only thing you have to do is to keep moving and drop a Orb of Storms from time to time.
Even tho this build is not about to kill Bosses, you can slowly kill them with simply running arround them in Circles.
(Videos will come Soon)

7. Gear and Passive Alternatives and Path of Builder Link

Path of Building Link: https://pastebin.com/rMwRTCWL

Gear and Passive Alternatives:

Gloves:
Southbound:https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Southbound
Southbound look Charming at the first Glance, but because we do not have many high Life rolls on our Equipment (no Kaoms possible for example) even the max Roll of Life does give us not even 100 more eHP. The Damage boost for Herald of Ice looks nice too, but we get more DPS out of the Poison Damage from our Lightning Bolt, Orb of Storms, Herald of Thunder itself plus Abberath Rage and Herald of Ice (the added Lightning Damage there can poison too)

Voidbringer:https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Voidbringer
The downside of the higher Manacost does not affect us at all and the +1 Gem is nice. Of course the Crit would help us greatly, but they do not give us any Life or Res at all.
Atziri's Acuity:https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Atziri%27s_Acuity
Of course they would fit in perfectly to the build but honestly in all my time i never had a pairt at all. If you got lucky to get some, of course use them

Helmets:
The Brine Crown:https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/The_Brine_Crown
The Brine Crown is a very defensive Variant, but would give us the option to remove the Anti-Freeze Flask.
But for the Helmet i would straight go for The Tempest's Binding.

Body:
No other Option

Boots:
No really other Option than Abberath, they are our BIS.

Weapons/Shields:
Doryani's Catalyst: https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Doryani%27s_Catalyst
Doryani's is the Weapon which gave me the biggest Headache. If you use it together with a Thirst for Horrors (https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Thirst_for_Horrors) you can drop the Warlords Mark Curse and use Elemental Weakness instead. But the Damage on it itself is lower then on Singularity, plus it lacks the Hindered effect, which is actually strong.
It is totally a Weapon to consider, but i prefer the Playstyle with Hindered and Singularity.

Divinarius: https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Divinarius
Divinarius is a great Weapon for the beginning but sadly the "Increased Spell Damage" does not work with the secondary damage of the Heralds and the increased area effect would only benefit out Abberath Fury. The Crit chance is nice to have, but Rare Daggers can easily beat that, plus Singularity is extremly Cheap.

Chernobog's Pillar:
https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Chernobog%27s_Pillar
A Rarely used Shield but if you want to go the compromise of Defensive and Offensive, this is your shield because it offers decent Damage (Flat added Damage to spells) and the Life and Res are Kinda ok too. Not the worst Choice

Lioneye's Remorse: https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Lioneye%27s_Remorse
The most defensive Option which comes only with one big downside and that is the reduced Movementspeed. If you do not care about that too much and want the most defensive Option, go straight for it.

Thirst for Horrors: https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Thirst_for_Horrors
Thirst for Horrors is a mixture between offensive and defensive Style. With it you can choose whatever curse you want and you will still have enough leech. So you could even go Elemental Weakness or something like that plus it has a mediocre Life roll on it. If you want freedom with your Curse go for this shield.

Rings:
Berek's Grip: https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Berek%27s_Grip
Makes us independend from Warlords mark and offers a little bit extra Damage, but sadly does not offer any defensive Stats. It is decent but i would not use it.

The Taming: https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/The_Taming
Offers a huge Damage Boost, but lacks sadly Life on it. If you want to move more towards Glasscanon: This is your Ring.

Death Rush: https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Death_Rush
Gives a little bit Life, Chaos Res and let us drop the Onslaught Gem from Abberath Hooves.

Awesome guide, I've always loved the heraldbomber builds. Is there any way you can run this towards a budget? I understand if thats not possible haha. But us poor people like lazy builds too :D
Well theoretically i think you kinda can, but it would be lacking a lot of damage. The skill tree would kinda look the same but you would need to Use something like "Blade Vortex" or similar to procc the Heralds. Same goes for the Choir of Storms. You could replace it with a Rare Amulet but you would loose a lot of Damage there too. But technically it should and could work.
Great guide, very detailed and nice to read !

I'm doing a similar build myself so I was wondering;
- Up to what map Tier can you run with your current setup?
and
- Up to what map Tier do you think you can run assuming you get all the BiS somewhat perfectly rolled?

I'm a bit concerned with my version because it's slowing down already approaching T10 maps and there's not a lot of ways to upgrade it; so I'm tempted to try your version ! :p
Right now i was able to do T10 Maps. I guess with all BIS gear you can even go up to T15 IF you skip the bosses.
I have perhaps a way to make this build run for cheaper.
One of my characters are actualy running a build that play the same buffs, but in SSF, and also "run" through map with its own method.

I'm going to try to pick some suggestions on your build if you don't mind, and see what happen if I mix your ideas with mine :)
Thanks for the guide.

I'm currently playing this on Hardcore Harbinger with only a few tiny skill tree adjustments. Using a Chernobog's because of the life (sitting at about 5.1k life and ~650 ES) and because Shield Charge is great. I also switched out the Immortal Call setup for Shield Charge - Fortify - Faster Attacks. You can check out the character on my profile (GrandTheftAuto_VaalCity).

Recently I've been doing some fully sextanted Whakawairua Tuahu farming while also using a Bisco's. It's great fun and the fast clearspeed is perfect for that map.
Get the 50% stun immunity enchant on boots and have a really good time being stun immune. :D
