An unexpected disconnection occurred. and occurred. and occurred.

Since roughly August 20 my husband and I have been getting many "An unexpected disconnection occurred." They do not typically happen when changing zones, just during the normal course of play in maps, lab, leveling zones, hideout, everywhere. No other error occurs, just the disconnect message.

My computer is connected via ethernet, my husband's is connected via wifi, we are having the same problem. About 90% of the time we both experience an unexpected disconnection simultaneously, but rarely one of us gets booted and the other doesn't.

We have been using the California gateway because Washington DC and Texas are unplayable for us due to a node somewhere along the way dropping waaaay too many packets. I briefly tried the London and Amsterdam gateways and got unexpected disconnections within five minutes of logging on each.

We contacted our ISP (Spectrum) and they sent some sort of "refresh signal" to our modem but the problem has persisted.


We have restarted our modem and router multiple times to no avail.

I receive the same kind of error, but maybe from a different cause. I would get my display driver has stopped responding and receovered message, then my POE goes to the login page and shows an unexpected disconnection occurred.

It started acting that way around 20th too and I have no idea why. I have tried absolutely everything, updating graphic driver, rolling back graphic driver, reinstall whole windows, the commend TDR fix and many many more. This error also effects other game as well, but what I noticed was POE is the cause of this.

If I reinstall windows, don't dl or run POE, I have no problem with any other game, but as soon as I dl and run POE it crashes, then I play other game and they also crashes.

Right now I just stopped playing and hopefully some other patch would fix this issue. 3.0.1b certainly didn't.

If you have the same problem, my advice is don't waste your time trying to fix it, reinstall windows and go play other games.
