VD CWC Melta Ray theorycraft

I have intialy made a cheftain but to test this kind of build but starting to think actualy scion can make a better choice due to having more universal ascedancies.

Basic of the idea is to use how VD interact with CWC. Ray mechanic and spell totem.

Spell totem when linked desecrate will dump corpses right on top of enemy mob but there is a brief pause bewen deploying it. It kinda feel clunky.

On other hand this is perfect if you use ray. Since delay bewen CWC and balls lets you naturaly start stacking fire resistance debuf.

Ascedancies i am thinking about Inquistor or Guardian/Necromancer or elementalist. Necromancer because of new Channeling support gem that gives physical res while channeling, combined with arctic armor, chaos golem, necro passive. That is a lot of EHP even without any charges. Given scion placement soul of steel is also an option.

Guardian is more deffensive/party option with extra block. Inquistior has 120% crit vs things affected by elemental ailments that and ray inflict burning damage.

To that we can add something like martyr of innocence for leveling. 100% fire damage if you have been hit recently. 18% fire pen if you block recenly.

18% from staff, 37% from fire pen gem, 5% from tree. 24% from maxed ray

Then its possible to upgrade to something like Dusk dawn and then to elder staff.

Ray+cwc+vd+fire pen+storm barrier+(pick your poison)
Spell totem+desecrate+totem resistance+duration.
One aura is necessary to keep bonus from necromancer + arctic armor+propably englighen.
Chaos golem with CWDT.

Soo what else could be done to boost damage. There is new amulet that allows to shock with elemental damage allong with solid extra resist pile. No life tho. Still having a 2h weapon its possible to sacrifice chest slot for Kaom. Lots of HP with fire damage.

To that there is a new jewel that allows to convert physical damage to elemental when using one elemental resistance aura. Soo it would actualy make sense to run elemental aura with something like purity of lighting.

New scion jewel gives another 5% penetration and +25 in all stats.
