Newbie ranger - ICE SHOT question

I have a very newbie question...

I'm using a build with ice shot...
So from what i understand when ur in mapping
u have ice shot which converts 60% to cold
+ those 2 passive in ur skill tree also converts 40% to cold.....so ice shot deals 100% cold dmg

When it comes to bosses i will switch to barrage

Does this mean you cant do elemental reflect (obviously cuz of ice shot)
But what about physical reflect?
Will barrage deal 60% physical and thus instant kill me? And / or the adds that spawn at the boss..

How do ppl go around the whole barrage / bossing skill?

What you are saying is correct. However keep in mind you only use barrage (most of the time) on just one enemy instead of a whole group. This way you can probably sustain the phys reflect damage.

Thanks for your answer....well I play HC (I know this build isnt hc viable) but im just trying out stuff....so ill just skip all reflect stuff...

1 more question tho....

Isnt this a waste of certain stats? I mean the whole idea of iceshot is to have both all physical modds + elemental mods (passives / ring stats / pretty much ALL STATS) to boost ur dmg....

So while doing this...Barrage will have 60% physical dmg, and all elental mods wont have effect on those 60%....isnt that a big waste??
