Whispering ice Mask of the Stitched Demon build (unfinished, fail)

Build idea

I wanted to make use of new unique helm

Two main purposes of stacking int for damage are
the Whispering ice
and
I chose whispering ice mostly because its ranged.

Part 1, How Does It Work?
Скрытый текст

Main skill used is "icestorm", granted by the Whispering Ice unique. Waves of icy bolts are summoned to bombard the area, each individual icicle has pretty low damage (~20k in this build), but each cast summons 10 bolts/second for the duration of 6-7 seconds.
Huge (100+) casting cost cannot reliably be sustained with "Intelligence provides no bonus to Maximum Mana" mode from helm, but with standard <cast while channeling> -- <blight> or <scorching ray> setup, mana consumption becomes irrelevant.
Mapping with this build reminds damage over time builds -- you cast one icestorm and move along while mob pack dies in it over couple seconds. Bossing, however, is highly dependent on whether you can lock enemy within one icestorm zone as while you keep channeling damage ramps up to ridiculous 3-4 million "shaper dps" over the duration of first cast.
Build excels in fighting low mobility bosses (lava lake Kitava, Minotaur, Vaal Omnitech, etc) or on small arenas which can be completely covered in falling ice (breach, abyss, narrow paths and rooms).
Against any boss that doesn't activate until you get close you can pre-cast bunch of icestorms on its head before activating, which trivializes many boss fights.

Main build uniques

1500 int = 750 base hp = kaom's chest and a half on head, neat.

1500 int = 300 base damage icestorm with ~3.4 sec base duration

100+ life, ~150 int and a bit of damage, one of the reasons to choose life over ES in building whispering ice character. As an added bonus makes you immune to shock and ignite.

Pretty much mandatory on any stat stacker, good synergy with belt (115 allstats provides ~23 inc damage), removes any restrictions to gear/gems.

Only source of life leech in the build, so kinda important. With fire damage variant one can use anger jewel for fire damage leech instead.

Fire or Ice

Most of the whispering ice builds convert all damage to fire with cold to fire + avatar of fire combo
++
herald of ash actually gives some good damage (~15% more with elementalist) compared to herald of ice which is mediocre at best with 30% damage effectiveness of icestorm.
Easier to get jewels and gear, both fire and ice damage bonuses give damage increase
scorching ray reduces fire resists
--
fire damage doesn't chill and ignite is currently useless in non-ignite builds
blight has lower casting time than scorching ray and instant turn time
frost bomb is better at lowering enemy resists than scorching ray
cannot use atziri flask and other "added as chaos" stuff as you deal no chaos damage

I'm currently sitting on cold damage, but both variants are viable.

Part 2, Gear and Links

Jewels

Non mandatory, but helpful, located in left scion cluster, gives ~80 int
Other sources of leech include corrupted implicit modifiers on amulet/helm (or ring in case of fire damage variant), similar jewel for anger (for fire damage) or hatred (although hatred is literally useless in this build)
25 to all stats & 5% elemental penetration, seems good.

Rest will be rares, int and % life provide most value compared to basic tree nodes

Flasks

Defences

~7k life, ~700 life regen (over 1k on conc ground)
Shock, ignite immune, freeze/chill immune on concecrated ground
Physical mitigation: immortal call, arctic armor, occasional endurance charges from enduring cry, chaos golem
Sustain: regeneration, life leech from jewel
Reflect immune (elementalist)
Field control: blight provides 2s 80% slow which works wonders against melee enemies. Icestorm chills and sometimes freezes enemies. Defensive curse+ blindball on cwdt severely cripples enemy damage both from packs and from bosses.
Weakness: no stun protection (currently using brine king major god as sudo stun protection), although you continue leeching while stunned so stunlocks aren't so deadly as in other builds
Resists: average (75)

Rare items, in progress

Any #int rings with %int corrupted implicit mode. Bonus points for life, resists and spell/cold damage.

body armour with shaper %int mode, #int, life and resists

gloves with #int, life and resists, bonus points for one of the damaging Puhuarte modes.

boots with #int, life and movespeed (without movespeed on boots and adrenaline quicksilver flask character is really slow as there are no movement speed nodes in tree, and mobility skill isn't exactly well suited for travelling big distances)
