Corrupt mod "Socketed skill get a 90% mana multiplier" doesn't calculate right

Bug report reference number 2,916,901,497

The helmet corrupt mod "Socketed skill get a 90% mana multiplier" does not give the right mana reserve reduction.

I have a Heretic's Veil with this corrupt mod, it should have a mana reservation of 35%*(1-0.12)*0.9=27.88%, but it ends up to be 30%, obviously wrong either the calculation rounds up or down in any step.

I guess it uses the old mod of 95% mana multiplier in calculation?

Thanks.

It does look from all my testing that the mana cost multiplier is 95% instead of the listed 90%. This is likely due to the fact that the old corrupt on the body armor was a 95% mana multiplier.

Note that mana multipliers round down, while reductions round up. So with 90% you would get a mana cost of floor(35*.9)=31 and after mana reduction it would be ceiling(31*.88) = 28.

With the suspected 95% mana multiplier it actually is implementing, you will have a mana cost of floor(35*.95) = 33. After mana reduction it would be ceiling(33*.88)=30, consistent with what you are getting.

i'm pretty sure that it isn't supposed to touch mana reservation, the only current exception to the rule is enlighten and EVERYTHING else actually states reservation(when it comes to reductions anyway) and it's been like that for a good while.

I'm not sure exactly what you're getting at here. The helmet claims to alter mana cost multiplier, not the mana reduction. Enlighten alters the mana cost multiplier explicitly, just like any other support gem that supports the skill (for example linking faster casting to an aura also applies that mana multiplier to the mana reservation).

I suppose you're arguing that aura's weren't meant to be included in "socketed skill gems". I do not know their intentions, but can tell you that they are currently affected just like all other skill gems, and that the mana cost multiplier is different than that in the text of the corruption.
