Cyclone duelist - What should I do?

Hiho. I'm pretty new PoE player. And I'm just so overwhelmed by the number of options in this game. Could You please tell me what am I doing wrong with my char? With a skill tree, i'm just following some YT video

Do you have elemental resistances capped?
You should have 4K+ life as minimum and aim for 5-6k++
You have empty sockets in your gear (fill them with useful gems)
There are different buffs you can get such as enduring cry, Cast when damage gem linked with curse (enfeeble), …

You can farm the Blood Aqueduct in act 9 or Ossuary in act 10 till 75 while getting more experience and currency.

This game has very steep learning curve.

Your hat and body armour is pretty bad. How much currency do you have? Here are some quick suggestions:

- Buy a decent six-link body armor and a good helmet

- Complete three ascendancy trials, you've only done one. Brutal Fervour and Headsman will make it a lot easier for you.

- Buy some new jewels for your tree, make sure each one has +7% increased maximum life.

- Refund those two +4% life next to the Thick Skin passive, they are just not efficient. Replace with Vitality Void. Slayer relies on life leech for survivability.

- As soon as you can afford it, buy the Starforge two handed sword. Works incredibly well for Cyclone.

- Get rid of the Added Fire Damage Support. It's literally doing nothing when linked with Brutality. Read the Brutality description, says "Skills Deal no Elemental Damage". You can replace it with a Maim Support or Added Bleed Damage if you want, because it looks like you are going for a bleed build?

- Redo your flasks. I would go slot#1: Rare Quicksilver, not the Rotgut. Slot#2: Rare Granite Flask. Slot#3 Rare Basalt Flask. Slot#4 Life Flask with quick recovery mod. Slot#5 Life Flask with any kind of mod.

- Use all your sockets, set yourself up with some utility skills such as Leap Slam with Fortify on Hit. You are only using about half of your sockets.

I tried Cyclone with the Scion last league, I think I was clearing the tier 7 and 8 maps at a level 70 without a problem. It's a very strong skill when you have everything ready for it. If you want you can check out my Scion character in my profile to get some ideas.

For an endgame weapon atziri's disfavour is the best weapon for cyclone disregarding any new super rare weapons out there. It is preferred over starforge because of the better weapon range.

Starforge gives you 20% increased area. I had no problem at all with the range using Starforge for Cyclone. They are both good weapons, I'd say Starforge is better if you are doing a critical strike build. Atxiri's disfavouer is better if you are doing a bleed build. However, Starforge can be a lot cheaper because you can put your six link in a body armour. Atziri's Disfavour you really want the six link in your weapon to make use of the +2 to supports. So plan on spending at least 4 EX on your weapon if you want an Atziri's build.

So i've made some changes in my build. T1-3 are easy now. I'm not dying at those. t4-5 are okay, but i'm dying on a t6. So I didn't go any higher, i don't even have any t7+ map anyways.

I want to use Starforge, because my skilltree won't let me play with a weapon which is not a 2handed sword. But still, how could I get so many exalts? I need a 6link good armor. Good choice is a Belly of the Beast. I bought it, but only with 4 sockets. 6links belly costs 3-3.5 exalts.

1exalt = ~150chaoses
1chaos = 1hour of playing PoE (in my case)
150*3.5=525

So should I farm 525 hours to get the body armor?

Starforge? Another exalted orb. I mean HOW?

Oh and the guy who created my build says it's fricking CHEAP :|

Just run The Blood Aqueduct or any low tier maps, pick up all rare and make the chaos recipe.

Try to keep your Quicksilver flask active all the time and just more forward.

Pick up all type of currency and convert it to chaos / EX
12 alteration orb = 1 chaos
10 Jewellers orb = 1 chaos
etc..

Gearing:

You don´t really need six link Belly for your build now but just use any six link chest with decent life / resistance.
You can get such body from 20c +
The corrupted version is cheaper but you can´t change socket colour so be careful (be sure about right socket colour).

Or you can buy six link white base (not corrupted / not mirrored) and use Shrieking essence of greed on it (and craft missing resist eventually).

Same for the weapon

You can get Starforge from 100c+ (you don´t need six link or smth).
Btw your weapon is fine for low/mid tier mapping so don´t worry.
You can buy The Jeweler's Touch prophecy eventually (10c+) and make any item five linked by just using one jeweler orb!

I tried a brutality cyclone build once. 450 dps against shaper was my cap atm. Wich is pretty good but elemental damage on today poe scales so much better.
I would get rid of vulnerability and brutality and go for a conversion/added elemental damage build (you would take far more advantage of the weapon u're using now). Using totems (like ancestral protector or warchief) will help u a lot with bosses. Use the Cast when damage taken+immortal call setup. It makes a huge difference in survivability and it's almost mandatory on every build.

You have too many life flasks in your flask setup. I would go for some stibnite in addition to the granite for further defense. Also, try rolling or buying flasks with immune to bleeding, curses etc, makes a huge difference too.

I'm a level 74 Slayer with Flicker Strike and I can clear the tier 6 and 7 maps usually without dying. At a level 79 you should be able to run tier 9 and 10's without a problem.

If you get more life leech like I was saying, then you will do better, like Vitality Void and Hematophagy. Also, your tree is too spread out. I would refund all the skill points above that Luminous Dew Cobalt Jewel. You have too many skill points wasted on +10 dexterity nodes. Acrobatics doesn't make sense either, you're building armor in your gear and tree, then chopping off 50% of it.
