Resolute technique and crit multipler

Am I not understanding this correctly? Ive seen 2-3 builds now that suggest using resolute technique but then suggest to put crit multipler on gear. Why would you do this? You will not have any crits for the multipler correct?

Jugg of All Trades mentions RT for leveling:
Leveling To level this build, you will want to start as a Resolute Technique Ground Slam into Sunder build. You will not be able to start as crit and unless you have leveling uniques setup, you will most definitely want to use Axe based Ground Slam or Sunder for leveling. The level 30 and 50 skill trees have RT taken, but the 70 and final tree have it removed, with the final tree taking those juicy crit nodes right across from RT. |
