My original post was about the Shaper and my build did well against it. Now, I am changing this thread to be about Uber Elder with modifications reflected below.

I didnt look at your character, but I'd say skill and knowledge matters more than anything else on the shaper fight. After you have done it several times, you can easily do the fight with almost any build.

Maybe at some point, I should just bite the bullet and just put in some reps. Still too nerve-wracking though!

As Crazylike has said it´s more about experience.
Your char looks solid and should be able to kill shaper though. Btw do you have capped cold resist? (PoE didn´t show) and combining Elemental focus and Hypothermia support gem in cyclone setup is not the best idea. You can´t inflict elemental ailments (chill, freeze, …) while using Ele Focus gem therefore Hypothermia is useless here. Btw you need to deal very high per hit damage to chill Shaper (over 60K without increased chill effect) See more about chill here: https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Chill |

"Thanks for these references. I do have capped resists for everything; not sure why the PoB has it at 66%. Perhaps I missed an item mod somewhere. |
