single target for rangers

There was a time when puncture was the go to single target skill, but everyone i check out on youtube is using barrage or blast rain. If you want to use puncture, is that going to require passive tree investment on damage over time nodes? Do you have to be a Raider ?


My character ics a deadeye Ie Shot ranger. (Actually this was my first character i ever made in poe) . My puncture set up is on weapon II with a lioneye's Glare, puncture - swift affliction - deadly ailments?-gmp-poison-void manipulation. Is that good enough ? Is there a better combination?

I think it is lame if a whole class is hostage to using only a few options for single target . THey need to do somethin gofr the ranger and the marauder to make them viable choices again. Or heck, blow everyone's mind with four new classes.....something.


Bleeding isn't even very supported on the tree anymore.

Some aliment and mechanics are forgotten by GGG, such as bleeding and poison is not in meta

Some player can still use Volkuur's Guidance to poison, but i doubt there is any bleed end game build exist for ranger

Barrage is an underdog in recent league. It still somewhat "viable" if you stack WEP, 21/20 gem and a few abyss jewel with relevant roll

EH is more viable and somewhat meta due to crazy conversion

Some player use TS for single target too

Scourge Arrow also somewhat meta


Yes, there is not much Iceshot, Burning Arrow Shrapnel Shot end-game meta build, but it is not really every one go to Barrage era
