tentacle miscreation damage type/reduction

With 5k hp and 80fire res I still lose like 3k hp in one second from em.

So do they deal purely fire damage or do they deal mixed physical/fire?

Do they do a lot less damage with a granite flask on? can they be evaded?

Accidentally tossed away my granite flask ,so having someone test 0 armor and 8000 armor would be pretty neat.

Lulz I've had the same issue. Just side-step avoid their barrage. Standing in it is fatal. I don't know of a better solution.

This can actually be tested by obtaining 100% fire resist* and seeing if they still do damage.
My gut tells me they do phys/fire in some way.

* (75 + 5(elemental adaptation) + 5(saffell's frame) + 5 (purity lv17+, innerforce) + 13 (ruby flask, innerforce))

Mixed physical and fire, and via an attack (so both armor and evasion work).

Just like many other monsters that say "deals (X) damage" - flicker strike pirates, half the sand spitters in the coves... you get the idea, I think.

Does block work on it?

I have 29% and I seem to take continous damage, as if none of em are being blocked.

Best to granite n dodge. I personally perma freeze them with GMP icespear the moment i see them.

I've heard good things about Arctic Armour.

My characters tend to be ES without armor, and getting 5-6k armor with a granite flask seems to make quite a large difference against these things since they use very rapid low damage hits.
