Curse bot - 3rd wheel party play only (group build)

Story behind the build:

My buddy and I teamed DPS and aurabot day 1 in metamorph and scaled high very quickly. We played just a ton, and another friend wanted to join in on the fun. We asked him to level a witch and had him be a curse bot for us. Problem is, because we were at the zoom zoom clear maps quickly point, it was very difficult for him to mash all his flasks, dash around trying to keep up all the while trying to cast curses via bane - and stay alive.

I wanted to put together something like the aura bot where the curses are just always there without casting, allowing the curse bot to also zoom zoom and have very high survivability.

This looks ugly and basic, if there is enough traction, I'll take the time to learn prettier guide techniques. My first attempt at a guide ever - you negative nancies can calm down.


The build is designed around running 5 curses with blasphemy. You can get more via a curse on hit and changing some stuff, but the 5 will bring plenty of utility and safety to the group.


** NOTE ** You cannot kill anything with this build, you are considering this because you will always be in a party. Most aurabots do the same thing, some can do some minion shenanigans, this build does not. You only get to play when there is an aurabot present. If you want to join public parties - you only get to play if there is an aurabot present. You are glued to the aurabot. Don’t like it? Don’t play a party only build.

The survivability needs to be actually tested in game with an aurabot, but the build should be able to reach:

- Near max evasion (hopefully max)
- Near max physical resist (hopefully max)
- 50%+ chance to block
- more than 80% max resist (how high depends on aurabot’s +aura effect, 86+ possible)
- Chaos immune
- Wicked ward with 5k+ ES, and a little bit of ES regen too despite wicked ward
- Blind everything for 50% less chance to be hit
- Elemental aegis (extra 1k life buffer for elemental damage and cool bubble effect)
- Animate guardian for extra curse effect weapon.

** Please read notes in POB or rest of this guide before judging the build, there are things that look funny that are intentional - such as negative resists. You click without reading and laugh with contempt - then you are bad and you need to turn off your stinking high beams when you drive.

Notes, thoughts and information about the build:

*Curse effect 84% (example lvl 25 temporal chains has 16% rare/unique reduced action speed 16x1.84= 29.44
29% less action speed is quite a bit.

*Aoe for curses more than 300%, about half the screen - just zoom zoom everywhere to apply.

*No, victarios does not offer a lot of benefit at all. However the 30% reduced reservation is very big, and the decent evasion and energy shield base are good - plus not expensive.

Finding a good one you want high % evasion and energy shield, high area
of effect is a perk. The mana reservation is static, nearly any victarios
will do. Prophecy to 5 link for the lazy. Getting a bunch of white sockets
to switch out curses based on your dps could be handy if you do a lot of
public grouping too


*Most important note: The only set in stone curses are Enfeeble and Temporal Chains. The other curses chosen should be fairly universally viable, providing endurance, frenzy and power charges to your party dps. The aurabot often gives boosts to all three elements, thus elemental weakness will be of modest benefit in many cases. Please reconfigure the curses to best fit your particular party DPS, if they are pure phys for example - you don't need elemental weakness.. you even don't need wave of conviction, pick something else! (example for a primary physical party dps could be punishment and vulnerability being swapped in)

*Enfeeble and Temporal chains are the survivability curses and will need lvl 25 for next power increase. Will need 4 empower and lvl 21 gem to attain. Just run without empower, or lvl 21 until you are rich or make them yourself (it makes the mana reservation requirement much easier without them too)

*CWDT level 8 and vaal molten shell level 14 are the goals. Aurabot doubling (ish) your armor makes molten shell give more of a shield than steelskin. Plus the vaal skill has a nice duration.

*Need items with STR to meet requirement, shield is high requirement, can use different one with higher ES, picked for extra survivability from elemental attacks and helping get armor up to benefit from big determination via aurabot.

You have 2 more 30 str passive options if gearing is just
impossible / too expensive


*Watcher's eye not required at all, find a quality of life bonus or two and throw it in there, remember the aura's you will have via aurabot. Movement speed, phasing, immune to things, etc.

*Don't pick up elemental equilibrium - with aurabot you will apply all the damage types and it won't be a benefit. Just let wave of conviction do it's thing, your party dps should benefit from it a little unless they are a full conversion build.

*Alternate option: If supporting a pure conversion build, or you just dont need the blind.. you could use ephemeral edge for more ES, wear vixens entrapment for the +1 curse, use the vigil and vigilant strike with curse on hit

*Soul of steel would be most prime annoint.. but incredibly expensive. Could get any number of ones, find one that fits your build best. Consider grabbing a cheap +30 strength or dex for easier gearing.

*Animate guardian = Dying breath (weapon) Bringer of rain (helm) Southbound (gloves) Victarios flight (boots) [ chest in progress ] if able to use with bringer of rain

* Kill all bandits.

You can exchange freeze immune for curse immune.. But curse immune is just getting rid of annoyance, freeze immune is life saving. You can get curse immune on adrenaline flask, but you give up extra charges or extra duration. Bonus speed on adrenaline the most important.

Jewels:
** At first you can just find jewels that help the most, very flexible. Getting enhances and empowers rolling you will need 1% corruptions. Stats, resists if you need.. Even specific spell damage types to get that spell damage higher than others for wave of conviction.
Conqueror’s Potency (1% corruption for max build)
Conqueror’s Efficiency (1% corruption for max build)
Watcher’s eye (find a some nice quality of life bonuses but jewel not required at all)
Abyss Jewel: ES (1% corruption for max build)
--Might of the meek with 1% corruption below leadership in scion area after lvl 92 likely needed for everything up and rolling. Undo leadership passive.

Made a tweak, POB being fussy for pastebin. Need to switch added cold and knockback for added lightning and culling strike.

Slowly running this build up on an alt account to test this build in game.

Broken:
Blasphemy applied curses only last as long as you are in proximity. Build will not function. What a waste.

AG won’t be able to share endurance charges. Minions are not party members, so they only share if the mod is allies. You can get Frenzy/power charges from Spectres though. Very interesting concept though.
