Animate Guardian Contols for Xbox one

I have the gear I want to use on the ground but can’t seem to figure out what controls to use to add it to my animated guardian?

Enter a map, blood aqueducts or whatever and drop the gear there.
Then use the animate guardian skill and target the gear, he will use it then. |
