[3.23] CI CoC Ice Spear Build | Occultist | Affliction | Path of Exile 3.23

Hey guys, ci cast on crit ice spear occultist build is here. This is Chaos Inoculation version and tankier than low-life version.
Ice Spear is a cold spell that fires projectiles in sequence. After traveling a short distance the projectiles enter a second form. The second form pierces all targets and has increased projectile speed and critical strike chance and multiplier.

Build Cost
- High Budget: 50-100 div


Before asking a question please read.

Mana: How do I sustain mana?
- Non-Channelling Skills have # to Total Mana Cost mod on rings
- 1% reduced Mana Cost of Skills per 10 Devotion mod on Militant Faith
- +14 Mana gained for each Enemy hit by Attacks (Gemini Claw)
- Divergent Inspiration, Anomalous Greater Multiple Projectiles

Critical Strike Chance: Aim for %100 crit chance.
- Power charges
- Diamond Flask
- Any Flask with crit chance mod
- Ascendancy, Skill tree
- Brittle Ground

Cooldown recovery: We need at least %14 for this build. I got it from awakened gem.
- Awakened Cast on Critical (minimum lvl 3)
- Shaper/Crusader belt
- Shaper/Crusader boots

Accuracy: We need %100 hit chance.
Hits can't be Evaded mod solves the problem

Aps: With 14% cooldown recovery optimal aps for cyclone is 7.57. Don't go over it. Cyclone's aps is 7.54 with this setup.
- 26% inc attack speed, Claw
- 5% inc attack speed, Quick Getaway
- 8% inc attack speed, Repeater
- 20% inc attack speed, Onslaught

Militant Faith: Dominus to get Inner Conviction keystone.
Try to get one with these mods:
- 4% increased Elemental Damage per 10 Devotion
- 1% reduced Mana Cost of Skills per 10 Devotion

How do I generate power charge on bosses?
When we spend 200 mana we get a power charge so we keep spamming vortex and cyclone before the fight started.

Cyclone (Divergent) - Cast On Critical Strike (Awakened) - Ice Spear (Divergent) - Inspiration (Divergent) - Greater Multiple Projectiles (Anomalous) - Added Cold Damage (Awakened)

Tempest Shield - Determination - Vaal Discipline - Enlighten (Lvl 3)

Herald of Ice - Zealotry - Hatred - Enlighten (Lvl 3)

Whirling Blades - Faster Attacks / Vaal Molten Shell - Cast when Damage Taken

Sniper's Mark - Mark on Hit / Flame Dash

Vortex (Divergent) - Unbound Ailments - Bonechill (Divergent)

How bad am I screwed with 7.62 aps? My claw unfortunately has 28 inc AS. Any way to lose 2 percent somewhere? All I can think of is getting rid of silver flask and replace with another flask with AS suffix (17 inc AS).

Great build, but how exactly do we transition from the Leveling build into the endgame one?

What items would be needed before the switch from Winter Orb to CoC ice spear?

I just transitioned into this version from LL.

From my experience it was best to go from leveling --> LL Version --> CI Version.

The CI Version is a lot more expensive than LL if you want to get to the same level of output.

LL dmg is easy to come by while tankiness isnt.

CI tankiness is easy to get, while dmg isnt.

You can still push nearly all content in the game with LL version albiet with more deaths.

As far as items you absolutely need... either Incandescent or Skin of the lords/loyal. If you cant get a claw or dagger similar to the one in the guide, go with cospris and then obviously aegis. Crown of the inward Eye is good as well... its tough to beat.


Also, to get the CI Version really going you are going to need 2 - 3 small cluster jewels with mana reservation rolled with 35% increased effect.

had some things laying around figure i would try it... not bad but not great still need's some work not done yet any advice? where to go next..low on funds at the moment...

Grind some currency.

-Large Cluster jewels - You want Blanketed Snow + Prismatic Heart. Not inspired oppression.

-Better amulet. % Dmg while leeching isnt doing anything for you since your leech source is life and using CI. You would need a source giving "life leech effects are not removed at full life"

- Better weapon / Aegis with good crucible trees. Try to get the Ice Spear node on either weapon or aegis so you dont need nimis anymore and can use a ring that gives more damage.

-Skin of the Lords with Glancing blows.

- Lvl 21 anomalous Ice Spear is big dmg increase

-Crown of the inward eye: Get one with +1 max power charges + Ice Spear enchant.

- Level up. This is def not a build where once you get lvl 93 or so more passives arent that big of a deal. Theres def some good nodes for you to still get

-Better ring. Your rare ring has basically no damage mods. % ele dmg with attack skills doesnt affect Ice Spear

going to be awhile for all those options.since my char is Standard n things are way exspensive.. actually Crasy exspensive..but Thanks for the feed back

Hi, you say your guide is for 3.22, but it still utilizes a lot of crucible mods which are no longer available, no? Especially the crit one on the weapon makes a huge difference. I had to search quite a while until i figured out why my version has so much less crit chance ...
