stuck trying to enter offline character's hideout

So I was trying to buy an item from a guy in a party, and I went to the wrong hideout by accident. I then tried to enter his location through the swirly portal, just before he logged off. I got stuck in a black screen for over 30 seconds (at which point I hit alt f4 cause the network cycle said 0 ms).

When I logged back in I was still in the party but the guy who I was trying to trade with was offline. I wonder if this glitch arose when the change to offline characters remaining in party occurred.
