Call of Brotherhood ring disappeared

I had a perfect call of the brotherhood ring. I pressed X to move it into stash tab 7. It simply vanished. It's not anywhere in the stash, on my character, or on the floor. I searched "call" in my inventory and no ring showed up in any of my tabs.

Note: This happened in the necropolis.

Logging out and back in solved the issue.
