PoE 1 and PoE 2 skins

Hi everyone. I have one question. I have a lot of mtx in path of exile 1. A lot. But, I can't use these skins in path of exile 2. Why? I asked one streamer, who have unreal amounts of skins in path of exile, like "can you use skins from path of exile 1 in path of exile 2.
