Path of Mourning bug

Just had this happen - I explored the entire path of mourning, but got to a location where I could see enemies, and a chest, that were unreachable. Either the RNG map maker bugged out, or there's some hidden teleporting mechanic that was never explained. What separated me from the chest was a collapsed staircase

I just had the same issue.
