Couch-coop not being able to do endgame maps

Hello just got to endgame with my friend in couch-coop mode but looks like we can't do any mapping together, it's meant to be like this?
We can only accomplish campaign and that's it?

Would be nice to be able to play endgame together as well, poe major content is endgame.

Just change area and return to city. In my case this worked (at least for player one).
