Ascension 3-4 for melee is too random

Im a level 86 monk, i have 7k ES, 24k sheet dps on tempest flurry, furtive wraps for the huge damage increase, i pumped a t16 corrupted boss in maps, even beat the breach in the same map, im more than over leveled for this. The "endgame" can be cleared no problems without a 4th ascension, so why make it so stupid?

As a melee its essentially impossible to beat the sekhemas trial
ive cleared one 10 trial ultimatum (before getting furtive wraps) lucky on the debuffs. It was so easy i though, surely all the people complaining are just bad players

i did 2 runs today thinking id finally get my 4th ascendancy and got dogshit debuff picks, all 3 essentially game ending picks multiple floors in a row. you would think after going from 14k to 24k sheet damage that it would be a walk in the park...but no
first clear i died to the first boss, second i died on the final trial boss...really disappointing. (was going cruisey until the last 3 picks were all the worst i could get) Right before the boss Q.Q

RNG is the issue here

My biggest problem with trials is that the picks you can get are so random, some will make it a super easy run, others are pretty much leaving you dead from all the crazy shit going on or completely gimping your toon. When all 3 choices are the worst ones you can possibly get, and it happens several floors in a row, its just game over.

RNG isnt a test of skill, its just dumb, the trials should be the same for everyone, every time. the picks should be obvious based on your class/build. That way people can make informed decisions on what other players have done to succesfully clear the content.
Without looking at any guides i thrashed my first run, then after gaining levels and gear, i get shit on...

The most fun ive had in this game was Jamanra in the first play through, you could try try try and try again, learning a fight is what develops skill. RNG does not.
I learned that i needed more lightning res, i learned the bosses mechanics, i swapped around some skills, and after 4 hours i got him, without looking at a guide, only 1 tip from another monk in chat who'd played POE1 and informed me of the resist stat being so important.

The sekhemas trials take forever and just arent worth the light of day, so badly designed, the honor system is just stupid, and so much favour for any ranged class.
If youre a witch with an army its probably even a laughable joke it would be so easy. Getting caught in tiny rooms, being expected to survive against a time slowing elite as melee is just awful. I had to run away and leave it, lost a ton of honor getting ticked away from all the AOE i rolled into while being overwhelmed. Fleeing isnt really a fun strat :/
As a ranged class you can stand back and pretty much negate half the games mechanics because they just dont apply to you. Youre out of the way, shoot at the edge of the screen, GG.
You can constantly move while dealing damage, melee cannot. These were clearly designed and tested by a dev who plays ranged. Why the imbalance?

I tried to beat a lvl 72 3 trail sekhemas after i lost the lvl 4 (1 hour wasted, key gone, didnt learn anything other than it sucks, RNG again.
even the level 3 trial kicked my ass, im glad i paid 4ex for a carry ages ago. Without meditate it would be impossible.

I understand that they could potentially try to teach you certain mechanics, but the way they go about it is completely wrong, I beat Jamanra solo, it was tough but fun like black myth: wukong and elden ring. Why? because you just try again until you get it, its consistant, you learn from your mistakes, then when you win you get that feeling of "yaay i did it!" These trials will never feel like this. The RNG is frustrating, skilless, and can destroy a run if youre unlucky, thats the real issue here.

Sekhemas could be for ranged, make trials for melee. Ive cleared it once, its more than doable, i know what picks to take, but when i get 3 NO YOULL DIE picks 4 floors in a row, even the first boss cant be killed.

Any game that comes down to pure luck is just a slot machine. You cant outskill RNG stack against your favour. The argument is flawed that its a skill issue, id love to learn, but when i fail i cant try again, and when i do its a different situation.

Im all for having this stuff locked behind a good challenge, games lack it nowadays, but when its only 1 div to get the 4th ascension and i can clear t16 maps no problem, then the obvious choice is to just farm till a div orb drops and pay for it again.

Feeling like you picked the wrong archetype in a game that has so many choices feels like they designed all the ranged classes first then threw in the monk and warrior last as an afterthought. Witch is just an AFK mobile simulator, but when its so successfull in clearing "the hardest stuff in the game" it just feels like we all chose wrong from level 1

ill just buy my 4th ascendancy and next season play ranged, thats the real lesson to be learned by challenges designed like this.
