If you want to keep the kind of crafting that PoE2 currently has..
Then we need about 50% less dead mods.
There's just so many garbage mods that PoE has, dare I say it almost rivals the 'damage on tuesdays' mods that Diablo 4 had at launch. What's the point of mods like thorns damage and light radius? Especially at low levels when crafting resources are scarce. Last bumped10 янв. 2025 г., 07:19:32

Has wand with 4 decent mods, rolls light radius on 5th mod and accuracy rating on 6th mod. Item is now bricked...

y4eah they went way too far with mods and weightings.
its odd because jonathan talks about how important it is to keep a small mod pool in some interviews.... yet somehow we now have a game with a million different hybrid mods on gear. sure you got these basic mods and they are all good stuff... life mana armour #/% evasion #/% energy shield #/% seems kind of simple. but theres a million hybrids of these things in the system and that ends up being mostly what you get, shit like this... ![]() it feels so impossible to hit a decent % defence roll or a # defence roll not just because you hit lower tiers of them, but because you keep hitting hybrids that have meaningless amounts of 2 or 3 of these stats at once. i want mana, plz exalt hit mana, but % es would also be ok i guess... hits +5 mana with + 8% energy shield hybrid. fantastic, i hit both of them in quantities that are completely bloody useless to anybody and have 0 impact on my character. then we have the stuff like accuracy, # life regen, the on hit and kill shit, these things have such high weightings that right away it feels like 50% of the time you use a currency you hit these things. they have totally broken the mod pool. it seems so weird to me too that they would take away our ability to reroll items via alts/chaos, then massively reduce drop rates (both really good decisions btw, i fully support them) and this means that its so much harder to get a decent item in an item system that was already rly hard to get a decent item... but then feel the need to just totally pollute the mod pool to obliterate whatever remaining chance there was to roll a decent item? why? its so bad for new players too trying to understand how items work. a blue item has 2 mods? looks at blue item with 4 or 5 mods. one of the mods is the prefix and one is the suffix. errrr what? which one of these 3 defence mods is the prefix? yes. I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

If being realistic, you probably won't recognize this as the same game after a year. They change core content faster than you can change your girlfriend in middle school.
Just look at poe1. |

Look at this beauty, tho, and tell me you don't want that sweet Tyrannical phys damage roll :P
![]() --- Yes, 'crafting' is quite a nightmare. I'm mostly trying to 'craft' staves for my monk and let me tell you that accuracy is so easy to get in PoE 2, you'll never miss a swing. :) But besides the 'dead' mods, what I find more annoying is the heavy weight toward low tier rolls. I've spent millions and millions at the gambler, I pick up all the white and blue bases, trans-aug-reforge... and I've seen 'flaring' like thrice and 'tyrannical' twice (one on a staff I'm still using and the second on the above bow) When night falls She cloaks the world In impenetrable darkness Последняя редакция: morbo#1824. This game has not crafting yet. I hope we will see it in the following updates

The game has no crafting, only pure slot machine gambling which while is fine and fun during campaign but in endgame no so great...
(don't include omens that only mirror mafia can afford). |

If anything is being done to improve the QoL of crafting, then you will no longer enjoy the 3 core pillars of Path of Exile: 1) The joy of finally getting a good item from a rare or unique boss (after maybe 50 run-ins that only yielded blue crap and scrolls of wisdom); 2) trading for your gear and, finally, 3) trading for the currency you'll need to trade for your gear.
Getting good loot from difficult rares or map bosses (talking about the campaign here, dunno how bad it gets later on) is nowhere near rewarding. To the point where if I drop a regal shard I'll be more happy than if I drop a rare item. Why? because that rare item will have a cocktail of trash tier good mods or high tier dead ones and it will just mean I've saved the trip to whichever character dismantles gear. But it would be nice if... Essence crafting would roll only high tier mods (seeing how it only puts 1 on the item, there's plenty of room for augs and exalts to brick said item anyway, no?). If items requiring level 50 wouldn't roll during crafting mods that require level 1, 10, 20. If Crackling staves and cultist bows won't roll %increased phys modifiers. Or, at least, give the chance to roll attack speed to wands, staves and scepters too, casting speed for hammers and other completely illogical mods. Don't discriminate, no? :D |

i really hate crafting or "crafting" on poe 2 and i find it horrible idea to try to create a different crafting.
They should focus on keeping same poe crafting but focus on it more. Both game have differences on crafting sure but it need to be basically work same way. Not only that i was hoping ggg to make poe crafting into an industry standart for arpg games. Hone it more |
