Level 20 skill gems droprates

Okay, I lvled up to 90+ a bunch of chars now.
I ran hundreds of maps, all maps I run are t15 or more, depending on corruption rolls and modifiers on the map. Over 300 ingame hours. I've yet to see ONE freaking lvl 20 gem drop.

In poe1 I'd alrdy lvl a bunch of lvl 20's and another bunch to try for +1 corruptions. More than a bunch really.

What's going on?

Yeah their droprate is crazy low. However, I believe they only drop in area level 81+ meaning you have to be running T15 with irradiated AND corruption "things" or running T16 with at least one of those "things"

I've done T16s on irradiated and corrupted bosses at least a dozen times now with no luck.

That seems to work though as multiple guildmates got lvl 20 gems this way - but not nearly enough to upgrade all their gems.

So while farming irradiated and corrupted bosses seems to 'work' - it's still pretty heavily gated behind RNG.

im currently at 640 hours

and I've only seen 1 drop.

Needs to be a t16 with corruption and irradiated so mlvl 82+

I've seen one in ~400h. It was from a blue chest on a level 81(maybe 80)? So you don't need T16 with irradiated+corruption. You just need to get lucky.

To update my progress a bit - been doing a lot of lvl 81 zones and 82 when stars align, farming for many hours per day, doing all the prep work like stacking quantity on towers, rarity, more monsters, tons of rarity, juiced maps... still not a single 20 gem. Ofc during this time I had multiple divine drops and it's not a problem to buy lvl 20 gems, but the mere fact it's so rare is "a bit" frustrating. Is it a trade-league only thing or people in SSF suffer the same?
