What are your thoughts on Unbound Avatar?

It looks good on paper, but I'm noticing that I don't really use it 99.9% of the time. It's just there, fully charged, but I don't need it until I'm fighting the boss or some extra tanky rare. And there's also a chance that if I begin to use it willy-nilly I might not have it even when I actually need it.

I'm thinking about guaranteed extra 10% lightning dmg and shocked ground and it seems pretty exciting. Crits ignoring elemental res also pretty good, even with my 30-something chance to crit. So idk. Am I crazy not to take avatar, or it's actually makes sense?

I have extra lightning, extra cold, spirit thing and unbound avatar atm

I also think it's not that great, the moment armour is buffed, I'm moving from unbound avatar to protect me from harm

It's alright but I dropped it since I have enough dmg now to pretty much inflict ailment most of the time without it. Until then it's pretty good. Damage boost is not worth it since I already do 300k dmg with ice strike. I use the one which gives exta lightning dmg instead and the one with ignores resistances on crit.

I found myself never using Unbound Avatar because it's hard for me to keep up with so many skills (also why I never tried the multiple Bell strat). I went for 'Sunder My Enemies' as it was a noticeable difference without having to press anything.
I rolled a Monk and at level 50 I went with the defensive Lead me through Grace, and I lost ghost dance, herald of thunder, and another skill as my spirit went down to 80 from around 120. Im hoping once I get a good evasion/energyshield armor I get my spirit back...

I'm going with a tri-element build and honestly? It feels too slow to charge. You've got one shot on the last boss of a map to use it, not to mention not even once in any single enemy encounters. It feels bad, like I'd honestly rather have it as a passive with weaker effects or something. Maybe add the Meta tag so The Soul Springs Eternal could make it more viable?

Also while we're on the topic, I hate that Protect me from Harm is locked behind Lead me through Grace. They're not relevant to each other directly and my build would love PmfH but uses a scepter so I'd be just shooting myself in the foot...

what do you mean by that? I can use it like 8-9 times in one map

So my tip for unbound avatar is if you go for electrocution, you'll build that sucker up so fast that you wont even think about downtime much.
