Looting waystones in a party

I'm not sure if this is a bug or intended but when in a party and trying to farm waystones, if the party members split up to tackle the map faster, if any waystones drop, only the party leader can loot them which negates the effectiveness of splitting up. Even when the party loot is set to Free For All it doesn't allow the looting of the waystones. The only way is if the party leader uses a portal and leaves the map, then the waystones become loot-able by the rest of the party.
