I could zoom out alot further before patch. Is this a bug?

I was expanding in multiple areas of the map and now I'm focused in on one particular area without ability to go to the other spots I've already completed. This is the next big item to fix in the endgame.. Almost feels like I can zoom in more and zoom out less.
